Digital Health Data Security and Management Awareness Training in Nursing Students

Summary
This randomized controlled study evaluated the effect of an online awareness training program on nursing students' awareness of digital data security and their attitudes toward data management in digital health environments. Nursing students were randomly assigned to an intervention group or a control group. The intervention group received online training on digital health data security and data management, while the control group did not receive the training during the study period. Participants completed the Digital Data Security Awareness Scale and the Data Management in the Digital Health Environment Scale. The study aimed to determine whether the awareness training improved nursing students' digital data security awareness and attitudes toward data management in digital health environments.

Digital Health Data Security and Management Awareness Training
Participants received a structured online awareness training program on digital health data security and data management. The training addressed the protection and confidentiality of personal health data, cybersecurity risks, password security, secure storage and sharing of digital data, data privacy, and ethical responsibilities related to health data management. The training was delivered by a health informatics or data security specialist.
