The Effectiveness Of Home-Based Circuit Training On Eye Pressure And Eye Nerve Structures In Patients With Glaucoma

Summary
The goal of this clinical trial is to determine whether home-based circuit training can reduce intraocular pressure and improve retinal nerve fiber layer and choroidal thickness in patients with glaucoma. It will also evaluate the safety and feasibility of incorporating home-based circuit training into standard glaucoma care. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does home-based circuit training reduce intraocular pressure among glaucoma patients? Does home-based circuit training improve retinal nerve fiber layer thickness and choroidal thickness among glaucoma patients? Researchers will compare participants who perform home-based circuit training in addition to standard glaucoma treatment with participants receiving standard glaucoma treatment alone to determine whether the exercise program provides additional clinical benefits. Participants will: Be randomly assigned to either the home-based circuit training group or the standard care group. Perform supervised home-based circuit training according to the prescribed exercise program for 12 weeks. Continue their prescribed glaucoma medications throughout the study. Attend scheduled study visits for measurement of intraocular pressure, retinal nerve fiber layer thickness, and choroidal thickness at baseline and follow-up visits. Be monitored for exercise adherence and any adverse events throughout the study.

Home-Based Circuit Training
Participants assigned to the intervention group will perform a home-based circuit training program in addition to receiving standard glaucoma care. The exercise program consists of seven home-based exercises, including two aerobic exercises and five resistance-based exercises performed in a circuit format. Each session lasts 30 minutes, is performed three times per week on alternate days for 12 weeks, and is conducted at moderate intensity. Participants will continue their prescribed glaucoma medications throughout the study.
