Comparison of Supraclavicular Brachial Plexus Block Guided by PNS, USG and Combined Method
Sponsor: Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences University
Summary
This randomized comparative study evaluated supraclavicular brachial plexus block using three techniques in patients undergoing elbow and below-elbow surgeries. A total of 75 patients were included and allocated into three groups: Group A received a peripheral nerve stimulator (PNS)-guided block, Group B received an ultrasound-guided (USG) block, and Group C received a combined USG and PNS-guided block. The three techniques were compared with respect to ease of administration, success rate and quality of block, including duration of analgesia.
