Effects of Exercise on Pain and Quality of Life in Office Workers With Neck Pain

Summary

This clinical trial aims to learn if a structured exercise intervention helps treat chronic neck pain, reduce neck disability, relieve work-related stress, and improve overall quality of life in office workers. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does a targeted exercise intervention significantly reduce neck pain intensity and neck disability in office workers? Does the exercise program help lower work-related stress levels among office employees? Does the intervention provide significant improvements in the health-related quality of life of the participants? Participants will: Complete a baseline assessment evaluating their current neck pain, functional disability, work-related stress levels, and quality of life using validated clinical questionnaires and measurements. Engage in a structured exercise program focused on deep neck flexor strengthening, upper back/shoulder strengthening, muscle stretching, and postural alignment. Complete a post-intervention evaluation immediately following the completion of the exercise program to measure changes in pain, disability, stress, and quality of life.

BEHAVIORAL

Supervised Therapeutic Exercise Program, Control Grupu

1. A 6-week progressive exercise program conducted under the direct physical supervision of a physiotherapist (3 sessions/week, 45 min/session). The program includes deep cervical flexor re-education, scapulothoracic strengthening with elastic resistance bands, upper body stretching, and real-time biomechanical 2. A 6-week self-directed progressive exercise program supported by instructional videos and a mobile application (3 sessions/week, 40-45 min/session). The exercise content and progression (deep flexor training, scapular strengthening, stretching) mirror the supervised group, but exercises are performed independently using mobile app video guidance and automated log tracking.
