Summary
Preeclampsia is a major pregnancy-related hypertensive disorder and a leading cause of maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality worldwide, particularly in developing regions. Adequate maternal awareness of preeclampsia symptoms and risk factors is crucial for early detection and timely medical intervention. Objectives: This study aims to assess the level of awareness regarding preeclampsia, its warning signs, and its associated risk factors among pregnant women attending the antenatal care (ANC) clinic at Sohag University Hospital, and to identify socio-demographic factors associated with their awareness levels.

Data will be collected by the researcher through personal interviews with the PE admitted inpatient at the Obstetric and Gynecology department and those attending outpatient clinic at Sohag University Hospital using standardized questionnaire.
