Maternal-fetal Health and Climate Change Awareness
Sponsor: Resmiye KAYA ODABAŞ
Summary
Project Objective: The objective of this project is to examine the effect of an AI-powered video developed to increase awareness among midwifery students regarding the effects of climate change on maternal and fetal health, and to conduct a validity and reliability study of the Pregnancy-Specific Climate Change Awareness Scale on midwifery students. Project Objectives: * To increase midwifery students' awareness of the effects of climate change on maternal and fetal health, * To ensure midwifery students are aware of health risks associated with climate change, * To enable midwifery students to be more sensitive and knowledgeable in their future professional practice by being aware of the effects of climate change on health, * To create broader awareness in society about the effects of climate change on health through midwifery students, * To provide up-to-date and accurate information about climate change through AI-assisted videos, * To enable students to better understand the importance of the issue by interacting with AI-assisted videos and making the subject engaging, * To contribute to the literature by conducting a validity and reliability study of the Pregnancy-Specific Climate Change Awareness Scale for midwifery students, * To scientifically demonstrate the effect of AI-assisted videos on permanent learning, motivation, and awareness-raising compared to traditional educational approaches, * To create a scientific basis for the integration of AI-assisted education into future midwifery education programs, * To obtain research findings. The aim is to share the results within the scientific community by presenting them at international and national scientific events (such as congresses, conferences, and symposia) and to publish them as scientific articles in international journals.

Midwifery students' awareness of climate change specific to pregnancy
Third and fourth-year midwifery students will be gathered in the faculty's conference hall on a date that suits their class schedules. After a suitable date is determined for the video screening, students will be asked to complete the Introductory Information Form and the validated and reliable Pregnancy-Specific Climate Change Awareness Scale-Student (pre-test) using face-to-face interview techniques before the video screening. On the designated date, after the pre-test, the AI-assisted video prepared by the researchers will be shown to the third and fourth-year midwifery students in the faculty's conference hall. Immediately after the video screening, students will be asked to complete the AI-Assisted Video Viewing Satisfaction Evaluation Form. Three weeks after the video screening, students will be notified and asked to complete the Pregnancy-Specific Climate Change Awareness Scale-Student for a post-test, without affecting their class schedules.
