Immediate Implant Placement by Drilling Through Roots

Summary

This randomized clinical trial compared two techniques for immediate dental implant placement in molar extraction sites. In the intervention group, implant osteotomy preparation was performed through the interradicular bone before molar extraction, while in the control group the tooth was extracted first and the implant was placed immediately in the fresh extraction socket. The study evaluated implant stability, accuracy of implant positioning, surgical time, and postoperative pain

PROCEDURE

Immediate Implant Placement in fresh extraction socket

The molar was extracted first, followed by preparation of the implant osteotomy and immediate implant placement in the fresh extraction socket.

PROCEDURE

Interradicular Bone Drilling Before Molar Extraction

Implant osteotomy preparation was performed through the interradicular bone before molar extraction. After completion of the drilling sequence, the remaining roots were carefully extracted and the implant was immediately placed in the prepared interradicular osteotomy site
