Balance Performance and Quality of Life in Parkinson's Disease

Summary
This observational study aims to examine the relationship between performance-based balance test results and quality of life in individuals with Parkinson's disease. It also seeks to determine which balance test best explains quality of life in this population. Balance and functional performance will be assessed using the Six Spot Step Test, 30-Second Chair Stand Test, Timed Up and Go Test, Four Square Step Test, Berg Balance Scale, and 3-Meter Backward Walk Test. Quality of life will be evaluated using the 39-item Parkinson's Disease Questionnaire (PDQ-39). The findings may help clinicians select appropriate assessment methods and develop rehabilitation programs that address the factors associated with quality of life in individuals with Parkinson's disease.
