Comparison of Nerve Blocks for Pain Relief After Knee Surgery
Sponsor: University of Gaziantep
Summary
This retrospective observational study compares the postoperative analgesic effectiveness of ultrasound-guided fascia iliaca compartment block (FICB) with combined IPACK and genicular nerve block (GNB) in patients undergoing knee surgery under spinal anesthesia. The study includes 70 patients treated between July 2022 and July 2024. Postoperative pain scores, tramadol consumption, time to first mobilization, motor block, need for rescue analgesia, complications, and patient satisfaction are evaluated during the first 24 hours after surgery.
Official title: Comparison of the Postoperative Analgesic Efficacy of Ultrasound-Guided Fascia Iliaca Compartment Block With Combined IPACK and Genicular Nerve Block in Patients Undergoing Knee Surgery

Interventions
Ultrasound-Guided Fascia Iliaca Compartment Block
Patients received an ultrasound-guided infrainguinal fascia iliaca compartment block using 40 mL of 0.25% bupivacaine for postoperative analgesia after knee surgery.
Ultrasound-Guided Combined IPACK and Genicular Nerve Block
Patients received an ultrasound-guided IPACK block combined with genicular nerve block for postoperative analgesia after knee surgery. The IPACK block was performed with 20 mL of 0.25% bupivacaine.
