Assessment of Postoperative Pain Following Root Canal Obturation of Permanent Mature Teeth Using Three Different Obturation Techniques: A Randomized Clinical Trial
Sponsor: Tanta University
Summary
purpose: to evaluate the postoperative pain incidence and intensity after three different obturation techniques (Cold lateral condensation technique (CLC), Vibration thermo-dynamic technique (Vibra-Tho) and Injection of thermo-plasticized gutta-percha (Fast Fill device)). Materials and Methods: Thirty patients with non-vital mature maxillary incisors requiring endodontic treatment will be randomly divided into three groups (n=10) according to the obturation technique used: Group I (CLC), Group II (Vibra-Tho) and Group III (Fast Fill device). Postoperative pain levels will be recorded using the visual Analogue Scale (VAS) immediately post operative and at 24 hours, 72 hours, one week and two weeks.
