Gyrokinesis for Chronic Nonspecific Neck Pain
Sponsor: Buddhist Tzu Chi General Hospital
Summary
The Gyrokinesis is a mind-body exercise that activates the entire body through spinal articulations and undulating rhythms integrated with specific breathing patterns. This study will determine the effects of GK versus conventional therapeutic exercises on the Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS), cervical range of motion (ROM), deep neck flexor control ability, Neck Disability Index Scores, proprioceptive repositioning ability, and Fear-Avoidance Beliefs. There will be two groups: experimental and control. Half of the study group will receive training with Gyrokinesis, and the other half will receive training with conventional therapeutic exercises.
