View on ClinicalTrials.gov

Summary

Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is the gold standard for cholelithiasis, yet postoperative pain remains a clinical challenge. Ultrasound-guided transversus abdominis plane (TAP) block has been proposed as an effective analgesic strategy. The objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of prophylactic bilateral TAP block in patients undergoing elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
