Tibial Nerve Size and Clinical Features in Chronic Plantar Fasciitis
Sponsor: Sultan Abdulhamid Han Training and Research Hospital, Istanbul, Turkey
Summary
This cross-sectional observational study aims to examine the relationship between tibial nerve cross-sectional area at the tarsal tunnel and plantar fascia thickness, pressure pain threshold, foot posture, and functional status in individuals with chronic plantar fasciitis. Ultrasound measurements and clinical assessments will be used to explore whether tibial nerve morphology is associated with structural, pain-related, and functional findings. The findings may improve understanding of chronic plantar fasciitis and inform future prospective research.
