Bone Augmentation Techniques in the Mandible Posterior Region
This study will compare three methods to rebuild lost bone in the back part of the lower jaw (posterior mandible) before dental implant placement. Seventy-eight adults will be randomly assigned to receive one of three "cortical shell" techniques using either the patient's own bone (autogenous) or prefabricated bone plates from animal (xenogeneic) or human donors (allogeneic). In all groups, the space inside the shell will be filled with a mixture of small bone chips and bone substitute material. The main outcome is the increase in jawbone width measured on 3D cone-beam CT scans at 6 months after surgery. Additional scans and clinical assessments up to 12 months will evaluate healing, bone stability, and postoperative recovery.

Evaluation of the Effect of Leucocyte Platelet-Rich Fibrin (L-PRF) Technique Applied in Post-extraction Sockets Before Placement of Dental Implants
Aim of study: The application of L-PRF membrane in post-extraction sockets outmatches the use of a) allograft covered with a collagen fleece b) allograft combined with L-PRF membrane c) natural healing, with reference to bone remodeling and regeneration of post-extraction sockets. Moreover, it will be examined whether the application of L-PRF membrane leads to faster bone maturation and creation of a favorable biological environment for earlier implant placement. Materials and methods: This study is taking place in Athens University Dental School, in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic. All patients participating in the present study received thorough informed consent. All forty patients participating in this study, were subjected in at least one atraumatic and flapless extraction of a single rooted tooth in the maxilla or mandible. Then, the patients were randomly divided in four categories with regards to management of the socket: a) no intervention i.e. Natural healing b) application of L-PRF membrane in the socket c) application of allograft (Phoenix) covered with a collagen fleece d) application of allograft (Phoenix) covered with a L-PRF membrane. Interrupted sutures will be performed for the four extraction socket groups. Radiographic examination (localized CBCT) was obtained immediately before the extraction, as well as three months post-operatively (localized CBCT) in order to assess the changes in the alveolar ridge dimensions. The next stage of the study refers to the rehabilitation of the edentulous region. Before each patient was subjected to dental implant placement, a bone biopsy was obtained. Therefore, all the biopsy specimens obtained went through histological evaluation in order to assess qualitative and quantitative features.

Wound Healing Following Extraction and Ridge Preservation in Smokers and Non-smokers
The goal of this study is to evaluate bone wound healing following extraction and alveolar ridge preservation (bone graft and membrane) clinically, histologically and in relation to gene expression in smokers and non-smokers. Data from a small group of participants will be analyzed after age-matched subjects undergo extraction and alveolar ridge preservation prior to implant placement. The data obtained in this pilot study will be used to plan a full-fledged study involving a larger number of smoking and non-smoking participants to compare the two groups.

Autogenous Tooth Bone Graft for Alveolar Socket Preservation
The purpose of this clinical experiment is to assess how well autogenous tooth bone grafting preserves the alveolar socket after surgical tooth extraction. Before being inserted into the socket, the graft is made from the patient's own extracted tooth and ground into a particle. Twenty Yemeni patients who needed their teeth extracted are included in the trial, and they will be followed up with clinical and radiographic procedures using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) for six months. The primary objective is to ascertain whether the autogenous dental bone graft can preserve the height, width, and density of alveolar bone, offering a secure, affordable, and biocompatible substitute for traditional grafting materials.

Determinants of Bone Dimensional Changes After Extraction and Alveolar Ridge Preservation
The main purpose of the study is to measure and localize immediate post extraction changes i.e. socket expansion versus no width change along the socket wall and identify whether the immediate post-extraction ridge width condition (expansion or no change) is a determinant of buccolingual ridge width and height changes 4 months following extraction and ridge preservation.

Use of Particulate Cortico- Cancellous Anterior Iliac Graft with Periosteum Membrane in Unilateral Alveolar Cleft Grafting Versus Particulate Cortico-cancellous Anterior Iliac Grafting Alone.
In the past few years, periosteal membrane has been used in orthopedic surgery as well as periodontal surgery as a mechanism to promote bone healing without the ingrowth of fibrous tissues. It has shown its efficiency in maintaining the bone volume and density in postoperative follow up. This can in turn solve the problem of potential bone loss in patients of alveolar cleft. The study aims to see if fixing the periosteum of the anterior ilium with tacks after bone graft application in the donor site will help maintain the graft and promote healing for the alveolar cleft patients
