NOT YET RECRUITING

NCT07431307

Safety, Pharmacokinetics and Efficacy of BV100 Plus Low Dose Polymyxin B Plus Ceftazidime/Avibactam, or Plus Cefiderocol in Patients With Pulmonary and Extrapulmonary Infections Due to Carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter Baumannii-calcoaceticus Complex

This Phase IIb study aims to evaluate the safety and efficacy of BV100 in combination with low dose polymyxin B plus ceftazidime/avibactam or cefiderocol in patients with suspected or confirmed CRABC infections. The study is divided into two parts (Part A and Part B), recruiting in parallel. Approximately 10 subjects will be recruited in Part B, with enrollment ending once Part A enrollment is complete (at least 30 patients randomized to all of the three groups). Eligible patients, who have given informed consent, will be enrolled, and pre-treatment microbiology samples submitted to a local laboratory.

Examination of the Large Intestine With Camera Capsule in Patients With Blood Stream Infection With Gut-associated Bacteria

The goal of this observational study is to diagnose colorectal cancer or precancerous tumors in participants over the age of 18 hospitalized with blood stream infection with anaerobic gut-associated bacteria. The main question it aims to answer is: • How prevalent is cancer and precancerous tumors in the large intestines and rectum in patients with anaerobic bacteremia? Participants will be offered an examination using colon capsule endoscopy 4-8 weeks after discharge.

Effect of the BioFire FilmArray (BCID2) for the Rapid Detection of Bloodstream Infection in Haematologic Patients With Febrile Neutropenia

The goal of this observational study is to assess if the molecular diagnostic tool BioFire FilmArray BCID2 is more useful for the microbiological diagnosis of bloodstream infections in hematological patients with febrile neutropenia, compared to the conventional microbiologic studies. The study compares the sensibility and specificity of these two techniques.
