Clinical Evaluation of Additive and Subtractive Onlay Restorations
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn whether onlay restorations produced by additive manufacturing \[three-dimensional (3D) printing\] and subtractive manufacturing \[Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) milling\] perform equally well in vital posterior teeth. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Do 3D printed onlay restorations show similar marginal adaptation and clinical performance compared to CAD/CAM milled onlays? * Are there any differences in biological compatibility, surface properties, or postoperative sensitivity between the two techniques over time? Researchers will compare onlay restorations fabricated with 3D printing and CAD/CAM milling using a split-mouth study design. Participants will: * Receive one onlay restoration produced by 3D printing and another produced by CAD/CAM milling, placed on opposite sides of the mouth * Have checkups at baseline (1st week), 6 months, 12 months, and 18 months after treatment * Be evaluated using the Fédération Dentaire Internationale (FDI) criteria for marginal adaptation, surface quality, anatomical form, and biological compatibility

Hyaluronic Acid and Polynucleotides in Ridge Preservation
The aim of this study is to test the use of a bovine-derived bone graft combined with a polynucleotides-rich hyaluronic acid (PNHA) gel for the preservation of the bone after a tooth extraction (alveolar ridge preservation) and to test the performance of a fully-digital workflow to rehabilitate the site with a dental implant. 40 patients in need for a single tooth extraction will be recruited at Centro di Odontoiatria, Università di Parma and they will be randomly assigned to 2 groups: extraction and spontaneous healing or extraction and regeneration of the site with a bovine-derived bone graft combined with a PNHA gel. At 4 months after extraction an implant will be placed in the extraction site, which will be rehabilitated with a fully-digital workflow and patients will be followed up at up to 12 months post rehabilitation. Two 3D x-rays with a small field of view will be performed immediately after extraction and at 4 months post extraction to plan implant placement. These images will also be used to assess changes in the dimension of the post extraction bone (primary outcome). As part of the study different questionnaires will be administered to assess quality of life and perception of the therapy and the wound exudate in the area of the extraction will be collected non invasively with a collagen sponge to assess the expression of different proteins during the early healing days. On the day of implant placement a sample of bone tissue will also be collected as part of the bone drilling and histologically analysed.

Partial dentures play a crucial role in restoring oral function and aesthetics for patients with missing teeth. Traditionally, these prostheses have been fabricated using materials such as acrylic resin or cobalt-chromium alloys. However, advancements in digital dentistry have introduced new materials and manufacturing techniques, including computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) milled titanium. While titanium offers advantages such as biocompatibility, lightweight properties, and corrosion resistance, its impact on speech performance remains understudied.

Analysis of Mandibular Proximal Segment Position Using Virtual Orthognathic Surgical Planning, Individualized Guides, and Osteosynthesis Plates
Orthognathic surgery is a surgical procedure performed to correct dentofacial deformities. In recent years, with the use of virtual surgical planning, cutting guides, and patient-specific osteosynthesis plates, highly predictable results can be achieved. While there are many positive reports regarding the use of patient-specific plates in maxillary positioning in orthognathic surgery, there is a lack of sufficient studies comparing the results obtained in mandibular positioning. Additionally, numerous designs of proximal segment positioning devices have been published, but comparative studies on their effectiveness have not been conducted. Therefore, a study comparing these approaches has been planned.
