Evaluating Whether a Nausea Band Reduces Symptoms in Those With Chronic Nausea Vomiting
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn whether a wearable transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) device called EmeTerm can help reduce nausea in adults who have had nausea for 2 months or longer and who receive care at The Ohio State University. The study will also evaluate whether use of the device affects other symptoms and aspects of wellbeing, including vomiting, abdominal pain, bloating, constipation, appetite, sleep, mood, stress, fatigue, quality of life, and hope. \[34\_Emeterm...rotocol\_v3 \| Word\] The main questions it aims to answer are: Does using the EmeTerm device reduce the average weekly frequency of moderate to severe nausea compared with symptoms during a baseline observation period? \[34\_Emeterm...rotocol\_v3 \| Word\] Does using the EmeTerm device reduce the duration of nausea, frequency of vomiting, and use of anti-nausea medications, and improve other gastrointestinal symptoms, wellbeing, and quality of life? \[34\_Emeterm...rotocol\_v3 \| Word\] This is a single-arm study. Participants will serve as their own comparison by comparing symptoms during device use with symptoms recorded during the baseline period before using the device. \[34\_Emeterm...rotocol\_v3 \| Word\] Participants will: Complete a screening survey and provide electronic informed consent if eligible. \[34\_Emeterm...rotocol\_v3 \| Word\] Complete baseline questionnaires and record daily gastrointestinal symptoms for a 2-week baseline period. \[34\_Emeterm...rotocol\_v3 \| Word\] Receive an EmeTerm wearable TENS device and instructions for its use. \[34\_Emeterm...rotocol\_v3 \| Word\] Use the EmeTerm device for 12 weeks while continuing to record nausea and other gastrointestinal symptoms. \[34\_Emeterm...rotocol\_v3 \| Word\] Complete weekly and monthly surveys about symptoms, stress, sleep, appetite, fatigue, quality of life, anxiety, depression, autonomic symptoms, device experience, and any adverse events.

AROMA-NT: Essential Oils and Wearable TENS Device for Chronic Nausea
This study will investigate how two inhaled essential oil products (QueaseEASE and STILL) and a wearable transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) device (ReliefBand) affect chronic nausea and anxiety in adults with longstanding nausea. The goal is to better understand the mechanisms by which these non-prescription therapies may influence nausea, anxiety, sleep, pain, autonomic symptoms, and bowel-related symptoms. Participants will first complete a 2-week baseline period during which nausea and other symptoms are assessed through questionnaires. Participants will then use the inhaled essential oil products as needed for 12 weeks while completing symptom surveys. Afterward, participants will use the ReliefBand wearable TENS device as needed for an additional 12 weeks and continue completing surveys. Researchers will compare symptom changes during the intervention periods with baseline measurements to better understand factors that contribute to chronic nausea and how these therapies may provide relief. Up to 250 participants may be enrolled to achieve approximately 100 participants completing both intervention phases

Biomagnetic Characterization of Gastric Dysrhythmias III
There is a tremendous clinical need for a noninvasive technique that can assess gastric electrical activity and would be repeatable without any exposure to radiation. Investigators developed a new technique allowing to use noninvasive methods to assess bioelectrical activity in the gastrointestinal system. This has enabled to characterize the normal and pathologic physiology of the stomach through the use of noninvasive magnetogastrogram (MGG) records. Primary hypothesis for this proposal is that analysis of gastric slow wave uncoupling and propagation in multichannel MGG discriminates between normal and pathological gastric electrical activity. Eventually, investigators envision this research leading to new insights for gastrointestinal conditions such as gastroparesis, functional dyspepsia and chronic idiopathic nausea that would inform clinical management of these debilitating diseases.
