Decision Aid for Women Newly Diagnosed With Breast Cancer
The goal of this multi-center randomized controlled trial is to determine if the clinical decision aid (BCT Aid) works to help breast cancer patients participate in decision-making and make high-quality decisions, thereby improving the rate of breast-conserving surgery and quality of life. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does the BCT Aid significantly increase the rate of breast-conserving surgery compared to usual care? Does the BCT Aid reduce decision conflict and decision regret, while improving shared decision-making and quality of life? Does the BCT Aid demonstrate better cost-effectiveness in terms of health resource utilization? Researchers will compare the BCT Aid to usual care (standard clinical consultation) to evaluate the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of BCT Aid. Participants will: Be randomly assigned to either the intervention group (receiving the BCT Aid intervention for 6 months) or the control group (usual care). Complete assessments including decision conflict and shared decision-making at baseline (T0), post-consultation with the surgeon (T1), 6 months (T2, post-intervention), and 12 months (T3, 6 months post-intervention), decision regret at T2 and T3, and quality of life at T0, T2, and T3, with additional EQ-5D-5L measurements at baseline, 3, 6, 9, and 12 months for cost-effectiveness analysis. Have clinical outcomes (breast-conserving surgery rate) and health resource utilization data collected from medical records.

Pediatric Airway: Noninferiority Trial of Devices for Intubation Assessment
The goal of this clinical trial is to find out whether the BESDATA BD-DF videolaryngoscope works as well as the McGRATH™ MAC videolaryngoscope for placing a breathing tube in infants during surgery. The study will also compare the costs associated with using each device. The main questions this study aims to answer are: Is the BESDATA BD-DF videolaryngoscope as effective as the McGRATH™ MAC videolaryngoscope for successful placement of a breathing tube on the first attempt in infants? Are there differences between the two devices in terms of procedure time, number of attempts, airway-related complications, and overall costs? Researchers will compare infants who are intubated using the BESDATA BD-DF videolaryngoscope with infants who are intubated using the McGRATH™ MAC videolaryngoscope to see whether the two devices perform similarly and whether one is more cost-effective than the other. Participants will: Be randomly assigned to have a breathing tube placed using one of the two videolaryngoscopes; Receive standard general anesthesia for an elective surgical procedure; Have information collected during and after the procedure to assess safety, effectiveness, and costs.

Impact of Implementing the Midwifery Model of Care on Maternal and Neonatal Health Outcomes in Ethiopia
Background: The Continuity of Midwifery Care (CoMC) is a maternity care model used in some high-income countries. In this model, a dedicated group of midwives supports women throughout pregnancy, labor, and the early postnatal period. This model has been shown to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes and enhance maternal satisfaction. However, its effectiveness in low-and middle-income countries remains uncertain. Purpose and Aim of the Study: This study aims to evaluate whether CoMC, supported by midwife-led birthing centers, improves maternal and neonatal health outcomes compared to the standard care model in Ethiopia. Research Question: Does the CoMC model, integrated with midwife-led birthing centers, enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes compared to the standard maternal health care model? Additionally, does its implementation strengthen midwives' capacity to deliver quality care and increase the uptake of evidence-based practices in Ethiopia? Methods: A hybrid implementation-effectiveness, randomized, controlled, unblinded, parallel-group pilot trial will be conducted. The type 2 hybrid design will equally emphasize effectiveness and implementation outcomes. The study will take place in four randomly selected hospitals in the North Shoa Zone, Amhara regional state, Ethiopia, involving 1,654 pregnant women (\<20 weeks gestation at first ANC visit). Participants will be randomly assigned to CoMC (Group A) or standard care (Group B) using a computer-generated scheme. Midwives will be organized into teams following the CoMC model. Women will receive study information during ANC visits and, if interested, will discuss participation with the CoMC team leader. Upon consent, they will be randomly allocated using a secure computerized system. In the CoMC arm, women will receive care from a single midwife or a backup midwife throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and the immediate postnatal period. In the standard care arm, multiple staff members will provide care at different times. Outcomes: The primary maternal outcome is the proportion of women achieving spontaneous vaginal birth. The primary neonatal outcome is the proportion of neonates experiencing preterm birth. These outcomes will be analyzed using bivariable and multivariable generalized linear models (GLMs) with 95% confidence intervals.

Effects of Patient-centered Telephone Education in Day Surgery
This study describe and evaluate the effectiveness of patient-centered telephone education in day surgery. The aim is to evaluate the effects of patient-centered telephone education on the experienced health of adult patients and the costs of healthcare in day surgery. Telephone education intervention is planned in co-operation with the day surgery unit´s healthcare staff. Half of participants will receive current education in day surgery, while the other half will receive developed patient-centered telephone education before and after day surgery.
