Feasibility and Effectiveness of Tele-diabetes Remote System on Glycemic Control and Quality of Life of Children and Youth With Type 1 Diabetes
The goal of this clinical trial is to examine the feasibility and effectiveness of a tele-diabetes remote monitoring system on managing type 1 diabetes (T1DM) among children and adolescents. The study aims to assess whether this system, which incorporates a WhatsApp-based alert system, can improve clinical outcomes, increase adherence to treatment, enhance quality of life, and reduce healthcare utilization in this population. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does the tele-diabetes remote system improve glycemic control (e.g., time in range \[TIR\], frequency of hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia, HbA1c levels)? Does it enhance adherence to treatment and overall quality of life for children and youth with T1DM? Does the system reduce the number of emergency room visits for diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) or severe hypoglycemia, hospitalizations, and overall medical costs? Researchers will compare participants who receive WhatsApp notifications (intervention group) with those receiving standard care (control group) to evaluate differences in clinical outcomes, quality of life, and healthcare burden. Participants will: Receive notifications via WhatsApp messages sent by a system developed by the research team, which monitors glucose trends in real-time and sends alerts when patterns (e.g., hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia) are detected. Participate in follow-ups supported by the hybrid medical team between routine clinic visits.

Supporting Medtronic 780G Insulin Pump Adoption in Latino Patients: A Spanish - Language Training Initiative
This study plans to learn more about whether a support program delivered in Spanish or both English and Spanish for bilingual families helps Latino youth with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) successfully use the Medtronic MiniMed 780G system. The main question it aims to answer is: Does a linguistically and culturally tailored onboarding model for an automated insulin delivery system close the gap in technology adoption and improve health outcomes? Participants will: * Use the Medtronic MiniMed 780G Automated Insulin Delivery system for eight months * Attend one in-person nutrition support and insulin pump start class * Participate in regular virtual check-ins with native Spanish-speaking study team members

Argus 2.0 Adoption Study
This study evaluates the usability of the KOS Argus Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System, a noninvasive, wrist-worn device that estimates blood glucose levels using light-based sensors and artificial intelligence algorithms. The Argus device does not puncture the skin or require sensor insertions. The study will enroll up to 100 adults with type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, or prediabetes at a single site. Participants will complete a screening visit, followed by a Day 1 in-clinic baseline visit that includes serial venous blood draws approximately every 10 minutes over 6 hours to collect paired reference blood glucose measurements alongside Argus device readings. After the baseline visit, participants will wear the Argus device and a commercially available Dexcom Stelo CGM continuously for 15 days during normal daily activities. The primary objective is to collect paired glucose data to support device development and algorithm training. Participants will not receive glucose readings from the Argus device and will continue their usual diabetes management throughout the study. Secondary objectives include assessing device safety, tolerability, adherence, and operational lifespan over the 15-day wear period.

Achieving Health in Emerging Adults With Diabetes (AHEAD) Program: A Clinical Trial Designed to Understand if Participation in a Clinical Program Developed Specifically to Support Emerging Adults With Type 1 Diabetes Leads to Improved Diabetes Outcomes.
The goal of this study is to determine whether the Achieving Health in Emerging Adults with Diabetes (AHEAD) Program helps emerging adults with type 1 diabetes improve their blood glucose management during the transition from pediatric to adult care. Participants will be randomized to receive Usual Care or the AHEAD Program, which provides tailored support to emerging adults to build autonomy and competence to facilitate independent diabetes management. Researchers will compare changes in glycemia and participant-reported outcomes between groups.
