RECRUITING

NCT06473246

A Study to Determine Safety, Pharmakokinetics and Efficacy of the Different Doses of VL-SE-01 in Healthy Participants.

The present study is a randomized, placebo-controlled, parallel study. 250 participants will be screened, and considering a screening failure rate of 20%, approximately 200 participants will be randomized in a ratio of 1:1:1:1:1 to receive either different doses of VL-SE-01 or placebo and will be assigned a unique randomization code. Each group will have at least 30 participants (total 150 completers) after accounting for a dropout/withdrawal rate of 25%. The intervention duration for all the study participants is 180 days.

Comparison of Aerobic Training and Circuit Training in Healthy Children

Childhood obesity is a growing concern, with potential consequences for long-term health. The number of obese children has increased more than tenfold in the last forty years. Over the course of their lifetimes, more and more young people worldwide will be exposed to obesity, which will hasten the onset of type 2 diabetes, fatty liver, and cardiovascular problems. Promoting physical activity in children is crucial for maintaining a healthy weight and improving overall well-being. Less than 30% of kids and teenagers worldwide fulfill the recommended daily minimum of 60 minutes of moderate to intense physical activity. Since that most children and adolescents spend a significant amount of time traveling to and from school or attending school, schools may be the best places for interventions. This project will investigate the effectiveness of two common exercise approaches, aerobic training and circuit training, on body mass index (BMI), physical fitness, and quality of life in healthy children. A randomized controlled trial will be conducted, recruiting healthy children within a specific age range 8-12. This study will be conducted in the Leader's Lyceum School. Two experimental groups will be made. Participants will be randomly assigned to either an aerobic training group or a circuit training group. Non-probability convenient sampling technique will be used. The study will include the children from age 8 to 12, both genders, healthy children. Both programs will be implemented for a set duration of 12 weeks, with specific parameters regarding intensity, duration, and exercise types. The project will assess changes in BMI, physical fitness components (e.g., cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, flexibility), and quality of life through validated measures, including Pediatric Quality of Life Generic Score 4.0 (PedsQL), Physical Fitness Test, Presidential Fitness test and BMI.

Italian Digital Primary Cardiovascular Prevention Study

The CV-PREVITAL study is a randomised clinical trial (RCT) controlled versus usual-care designed to compare the effectiveness of a mobile health (mHealth) intervention with that of usual care in reducing specific cardiovascular (CV) risk factors (in the short term) and the occurrence of vascular events (in the long term). Promoted by the Italian Network of Cardiology (ICN, a cardiovascular research network promoted by the Italian Ministry of Health), in collaboration with the Consorzio Sanità (Co.S., an Italian consortium of general practitioners), CV-PREVITAL aims to develop an innovative model of cardiovascular primary prevention and to validate it in a very large sample of subjects and in 'real life' conditions.

Exploration of Gender Differences in Liver Aging

The liver is an important metabolic organ in the body. It participates in central metabolic activities to maintain systemic homeostasis. It is also one of the most vulnerable organs in the process of individual aging. During aging, the volume, blood flow, metabolic capacity and regenerative capacity of the liver decrease. Liver function changes with age can lead to age-related systemic susceptibility diseases. Therefore, understanding the changes of metabolism and immune function in the process of liver aging and studying the regulation mechanism of liver aging will provide an important reference for understanding the causes of increased susceptibility to liver-related diseases in the elderly population. On the other hand, gender factors also affect organ function, leading to differences in human aging and disease outcomes. At present, the omics research on liver aging is mainly based on tissue-level transcription, protein or metabolomics, and most of the conclusions are focused on hepatocytes. However, for other cell types and microenvironment interactions, people know little about the aging changes at the cellular levelBased on the current research status, this study aims to explore the gender differences in the process of liver aging, using emerging technologies such as the combination of single-cell multi-omics and spatial localization, to reveal the factors driving liver aging from a gender perspective, and to promote the development of accurate interventions for aging and aging-related diseases.
