Evaluation of the Impact of Preoperative Pelvic Floor Exercise on Incontinence After Laser Enucleation of the Prostate: a Feasibility Study.

The purpose of this study is to assess the acceptability and feasibility of including a pelvic floor muscle exercise program into the care provided to patients undergoing prostate enucleation, studying both patients and clinicians perpsectives. A second part of the study will be to compare two groups, one receiving pelvic floor muscle exercise before surgery and and the other receiving the standard treatment, which is surgery. We will evaluate patients' perceptions of integrating physiotherapy sessions before surgery and attempt to identify facilitators and barriers to pelvic floor muscle exercise among both patients and clinicians.

TReating Incontinence for Underlying Mental and Physical Health

The TRIUMPH study is a randomized, double-blinded, 3-arm, parallel-group trial designed to compare the effects of anticholinergic bladder therapy versus a) beta-3-adrenergic agonist bladder therapy and b) no bladder pharmacotherapy on cognitive, urinary, and other aging-related functional outcomes in ambulatory older women with urgency-predominant urinary incontinence and either normal or mildly impaired cognitive function at baseline.

There is a gap between research and clinical practice, leading to variability in decision-making. Multifaceted implementation strategies are for improving implementation of best practices. Quasi-experimental, multicentre, before and after. Primary care, hospital units and nursing homes, and the patients attended at both. Implementation of evidence-based recommendations by application of a multifaceted implementation strategy (training, audit, context analysis, local strategies design, feedback, facilitation). Data will be collected at baseline and, during the first year of follow up, at months (4,8,12)

Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms and School Functioning in Children

Children in primary school often suffer from lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS), which may negatively impact their overall well-being. Co-occurring neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs) can adversely affect children as well and can cause restrictions in their daily life, especially in their school-environment. The goal of this observational study is to identify the prevalence of LUTS in Flemish primary school children.The main questions it aims to answer are: * How prevalent are LUTS in regular primary education? * Is there a relation with well-being in school environment? * Is there an influence of co-occuring NDDs? Children, parents and teachers will be asked to fill in questionnaires related to this research question.

Cerebrovascular Disease: Quality of Life (CODE: QoL)

The goal of this observational study is to learn about quality of life, stress and caregiver burden in patients with stroke and their caregivers. The main question is: • to discover the factors associated with quality of life and stress in patient-caregiver dyads. Participants will be asked to fill out questionnaires and agree to provide a hair sample (in order to measure stress hormones in hair) and consent to use of their routine clinical and laboratory data. Researchers will compare a group of participants without stroke to establish a comparable baseline.

Post-procedural Pain Associated With 5 Versus 20 Intravesical Injections of Onabotulinumtoxin A

Currently, in clinical practice there has been no standardization in the number of injections a single dose of intradetrusor onabotulinumtoxin A is administered in. Given the increasing use of this treatment modality, the aim of this study is to compare outcomes for patients given a 100 unit dose of onabotulinumtoxin A split into 5 as compared to 20 injections for the treatment of overactive bladder or urgency urinary incontinence refractory to medical treatment.
