Long-term Evaluation of Fertility Preservation Options in Women in Cancer Remission or Haematological Pathology

Cancer treatments, despite their increasing effectiveness, carry a significant risk of gamete toxicity. Women of reproductive age are commonly offered fertility preservation (FP) before starting their treatment. However, few studies have analyzed the long-term reproductive outcomes of these interventions, nor how patients ultimately use or do not use the FP options once in remission. This project aims to better understand the effectiveness, utilization, and psychological impacts of these strategies. This work is part of an effort to understand and evaluate fertility preservation practices implemented for women of reproductive age undergoing cancer treatment at the Amiens-Picardie University Hospital (CHU). Its objective is to document patient pathways, clinical decisions, techniques employed, and reproductive outcomes observed after remission, in order to identify potential areas for improvement in the support and follow-up of these patients, thereby enhancing the overall quality and coordination of care. This work is conducted alongside the development of a fertility observatory at the Department of Medicine and Reproductive Biology, CHU Amiens-Picardie.

Uterine Interstitial Myolisis and Oocytes Retrieval in Single Step: a Pilot Study

The aim of this observational cohort study is to evaluate the pregnancy rate, the ongoing pregnancy rate and the live birth rate of infertile women aged between 18 and 45 years who undergo a single surgical step of oocyte retrieval and uterine interstitial myolisis . The main questions of these study are: 1. What is the chances of a positive pregnancy test and what is the chances of live birth for women who undergo oocyte retrieval and interstitial myolysis in a single surgical step? 2. Are there any complications associated with performing the two surgical techniques at the same time? Researchers will calculate IVF/ICSI outcomes after embryotransfer of vitrified blastocystis obtained after oocyte retrieval and subsequent interstitial myolysis. Women undergoing oocyte retrieval will agree to undergo oocyte retrieval and interstitial myolysis at the same time, to freeze their blastocysts and to transfer them into the uterus after 6 months

Hyaluronan-enriched Medium and Euploid Blastocyst Transfers

It has been proposed that enriching transfer media with hyaluronan (EmbryoGlue medium) improves pregnancy outcomes compared with media containing lower concentrations of this molecule. However, none of previous studies included preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A) embryos. In order to investigate the impact of this hyaluronan-enriched on pregnancy outcomes, it is essential to evaluate its efficacy on euploid-only embryo transfers. The aim of the present study is to evaluate whether a short period of exposure of euploid blastocysts to EmbryoGlue prior to and during transfer positively impact on pregnancy outcomes of frozen embryo transfer (FET) cycles.
