Pericapsular Nerve Group (PENG) Block Combined With Lateral Femoral Cutaneous Nerve (LFCN) Block or Wound Infiltration for Postoperative Analgesia in Anterior Approach Total Hip Arthroplasty: A Randomized Controlled Trial

This prospective, randomized controlled trial aims to compare two multimodal regional anesthesia strategies for postoperative analgesia in elective total hip arthroplasty (THA) performed via anterior approach. Patients will be randomized to receive either a Pericapsular Nerve Group (PENG) block combined with a Lateral Femoral Cutaneous Nerve (LFCN) block, or a PENG block combined with wound infiltration (WI). The primary outcome is postoperative pain intensity at rest, measured by Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) at 6 hours after surgery. Secondary outcomes include dynamic pain scores at 6, 24, and 48 hours, total opioid consumption, time to first rescue analgesia, quadriceps strength, hip flexion angle, length of stay, and adverse events. All procedures are routinely used in clinical practice and carry minimal additional risk. Safety will be continuously monitored by the Principal Investigator and the study team according to an internal Safety Monitoring Plan.

Serratus Posterior Superior Intercostal Plane (SPSIP) Block Versus Intercostal Nerve (ICN) Block in Patients Undergoing Uniportal-VATS.

This study aims to assess the effectiveness of the Serratus Posterior Superior Intercostal Plane (SPSIP) block compared to the Intercostal Nerve (ICN) block for postoperative pain control, reduction of opioid analgesic consumption, minimization of postoperative respiratory complications, and enhancement of patient satisfaction (measured using the QoR-15 index) in patients undergoing Uniportal Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery (Uniportal VATS).

Efficiency of the Quadratus Lumborum Block for Post-operative Analgesia in Abdominoplasty Surgery

Abdominoplasty is a common surgical procedure in plastic surgery which causes postoperative pain and may delay patients' recovery. Surgery is potentially associated with a number of postoperative complications, whether cardiovascular, respiratory, infectious, thromboembolic, or digestive … Although they do not inevitably lead to a life-threatening prognosis, in many cases these complications delay post-operative recovery. Defined in the 1990s by Professor Henry Kehlet's Danish team, rapid rehabilitation after planned surgery is an approach to overall patient care that aims to rapidly restore previous physical and mental capacities and thus significantly reduce mortality and morbidity. Pain management is at the heart of this program and local anesthesia techniques are at the heart of early rehabilitation programs. Described for just over a decade, Quadratus Lumborum Block (QLB) have shown their effectiveness for analgesia in abdominal, or orthopedic, or obstetrical surgery. Considering the anatomical territory concerned, this locoregional anesthesia technique seems to be very interesting in abdominoplasty to allow early rehabilitation of the patient.
