Health Literacy-Based Multifactorial Program for Adults With Sarcopenia
Sarcopenia is a common age-related condition characterized by the progressive loss of muscle mass and function, which may lead to reduced physical performance, disability, and poorer quality of life. Exercise and nutritional management are considered the primary interventions for preventing and managing sarcopenia; however, successful implementation requires long-term lifestyle modifications. Previous studies have indicated that health literacy among the general population in Taiwan remains insufficient, potentially limiting individuals' ability to adopt and maintain healthy behaviors. Therefore, interventions that improve health literacy may help promote healthy aging and sarcopenia prevention. The purpose of this study is to develop a sarcopenia-specific health literacy questionnaire and to evaluate the effectiveness of a health literacy-based multifactorial intervention among community-dwelling middle-aged and older adults. A total of 100 participants will be enrolled and assigned to either an intervention group (n=50) or a control group (n=50). The intervention group will participate in six 60-minute sessions consisting of health education and exercise training. Health literacy and other self-reported outcomes will be assessed before and after the intervention, with follow-up assessments conducted three months later. The study aims to determine whether the intervention can improve participants' health literacy and support the adoption of healthy lifestyle behaviors related to sarcopenia prevention and management.

MBSR Effects on Aging Anxiety and Body Image
This study was designed to determine the effect of a mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) program on aging anxiety and body image among middle-aged women. The primary hypotheses to be tested are as follows: H0a: There is no difference in the mean scores of the Aging Anxiety Scale between the women in the experimental group who receive the mindfulness-based stress reduction program and the women in the control group. H0b: There is no difference in the mean scores of the Body Image Scale between the women in the experimental group who receive the mindfulness-based stress reduction program and the women in the control group. H0c: There is no difference between the pre-intervention and post-intervention mean scores of the Aging Anxiety Scale among the women in the experimental group who receive the mindfulness-based stress reduction program. H0d: There is no difference between the pre-intervention and post-intervention mean scores of the Body Image Scale among the women in the experimental group who receive the mindfulness-based stress reduction program. The researchers will compare the experimental group with the control group in order to assess the effect of the mindfulness-based stress reduction program on aging anxiety and body image among middle-aged women. Participants: * They will attend an 8-session mindfulness-based stress reduction program. * They will participate in one silent mindfulness retreat session.

Web-app Based Lifestyle Physical Activity Promotion Program (WPAPP) for Middle Aged Latinas
The purpose of the proposed project is to conduct a pilot randomized controlled trial (RCT) of the Web-App based Lifestyle Physical Activity Promotion Program (WPAPP) for middle-aged Latinas. The WPAPP is a web application (app) to promote lifestyle physical activity that was developed and tested with Korean American middle aged women. It shows promise for effectiveness with Latinas. The specific aims are: 1. To test the feasibility and satisfaction of the WPAPP modified for Latinas. 2. To examine preliminary effectiveness of the WPAPP-Latina on increasing physical activity and decreasing depressive symptoms.

Impact of CES1 Genotype on Remimazolam
Remimazolam is primarily metabolized via CES1, and other drugs that are commonly metabolized by CES1 are known to have their pharmacokinetics and clinical effects affected by genetic polymorphisms in CES1. The goal of this observational study is to investigate the impact of the CES1 genotype on the pharmacokinetics, safety, and efficacy of remimazolam in patients undergoing elective surgery.
