NCT07362160
Clear Orthodontic Expander Versus Hyrax
This study will be conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of a clear expander fabricated from 2-mm biocompatible polyethylene terephthalate glycol (PETG) thermoforming material integrated with an expansion screw in achieving dental and skeletal expansion in adolescent patients, compared with the conventional Hyrax expander.

Efficacy of Mini-implant Assisted Maxillary Expansion in Adolescents and Adults
Transverse maxillary deficiency is a common orthodontic issue, affecting around 10% of adults. Late adolescents and adults often require more force to expand the midpalatal suture due to its increased interdigitation. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of MARPE in this demographic and determine the best activation protocol for non-surgical maxillary expansion using mini-screw-supported appliances. Additionally, the study will evaluate the effectiveness of MARPE on nasal permeability and airway volume.

Effect of the Palatal Expansion Treatment on Reported Sleeping Disorders in Children
The goal of this clinical trial is to see if expanding the upper jaw with orthodontic therapy can help improve sleep related breathing problems in children. Parents or caregivers will complete the Pediatric Sleep Questionnaire (PSQ) to assess their child's sleep before and after treatment. The study will include 20 children with a narrow upper jaw, and a control group of children without this condition. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Will the 3D scans show significant changes in the face after therapy? * Will the dental scans show a larger palate volume after treatment? * Will parents/caregivers notice an improvement in their children's sleep problems after therapy? Researchers will compare 3D facial and dental scans, as well as PSQ results, before and one year after therapy to see if the treatment makes a difference. Participants will: * Receive orthodontic treatment to expand the upper jaw. * Have their sleep related breathing problems assessed by parents or caregivers using the PSQ before and after treatment. * Have 3D scans of their face and teeth taken before and after treatment.

IFPE (Invisalign First Palatal Expander)
Malocclusions with narrow upper arches are usually treated in the mixed dentition with a traditional bonded maxillary expander. Most recently, a new design of a removable expander by Align was brought to our attention. In this prospective clinical study, the investigators will compare the patient-reported treatment outcomes and the dental-skeletal treatment effects on palatal dimensions. With this study, the investigators will have a better understanding of this newly developed appliance and its application in early orthodontic treatment.
