Low-dose Versus Standard-dose Remimazolam for Prevention of Emergence Agitation After Nasal Surgery
Emergence agitation (EA) is a common complication during recovery from sevoflurane anesthesia, particularly after nasal surgery. Although remimazolam 0.1 mg/kg has been shown to reduce the incidence of EA, this dose may produce excessive sedation and increase the risk of intraoperative burst suppression. This randomized, double-blind, non-inferiority trial will compare low-dose remimazolam (0.03 mg/kg) with the standard dose (0.1 mg/kg) administered at the end of surgery in adult patients undergoing nasal surgery under sevoflurane anesthesia. The primary objective is to determine whether low-dose remimazolam is non-inferior to the standard dose in preventing emergence agitation. Secondary outcomes include burst suppression, recovery profiles, and safety outcomes.

Antibiotic Prophylaxis in Rhinoplasty
This study compares the efficacy of a single intra-operative (intravenous) dose of "cephalexin" (first generation cephalosporin) or "clindamycin" (lincosamides), alone versus both intra-operative (intravenous) dose of "cephalexin" (first generation cephalosporin) or "clindamycin" (lincosamides) and postoperative oral dose of "cephalexin" or "clindamycin" use in nasal surgery.

Evaluation of a Novel Nasal Conformer in Pediatric Patients
This study compares the current commercially available nasal conformer available for use in cleft lip repair and nasal scar release to a novel, anatomically shaped conformer based upon typical nasal airspace shape. This will follow patients using both of these types of splints during the post-operative healing process with one group starting with the standard splint and then moving to the anatomic conformer and the second group beginning with the anatomic and them moving to the standard conformer. This study will evaluate the patient experience and outcomes of the 2 types of conformers, looking at the discomfort, device dislodgements, ease of use and occurrence of complications such as skin irritation and rashes or skin breakdown.
