Infant Crying, a Bioacoustic Prognostic Signal for Neurodevelopment
Crying is a vital communication signal for the baby. Product of a complex physiological process, it reflects not only the organization and functioning of the cortical central nervous system and the function of sympathetic and parasympathetic autonomic regulation but also the integrity of three entities: the lungs responsible for ventilatory mechanics and respiratory rhythm, the larynx and its vocal cords as a phonatory organ, and the oropharyngeal tract guaranteeing the resonance of the sound emitted by the vocal cords. Crying is usually caused by pain, discomfort, hunger, or separation from parents or other caregivers. Crying carries essential information from birth, the expression of which depends closely on the neuroanatomical and functional brain integrity of the child. On a bioacoustic level, crying consists of sequences of complex acoustic signals produced by the vocal folds and filtered by the vocal tract. The vibration frequency of the vocal cords determines the cry's fundamental frequency f0 (and the harmonic frequencies), which is responsible for its more or less low or high pitch. Other acoustic cues also characterize each baby's cry.

Advanced Wireless Sensors for Neonatal Care in the Delivery Room
The goals of this observational study is to assess whether a new advanced wireless skin sensor vital sign monitoring system can effectively monitor the vital signs of healthy newborn infants (≥ 35 weeks gestational age). The main aims of this Study are to: 1. Assess feasibility 2. Evaluate safety 3. Determine accuracy of the wireless monitoring system, compared to the standard of care wired vital sign monitoring system, immediately after delivery and for the first 2h of age in the obstetrical center under unsupervised parents' care. The newborn infants participating in the Study will have both vital sign monitoring systems placed on their chest and limb. Their vital signs will be monitored for 2h consecutively.

The Effect of Polyphonic Lullaby and Pish Pish Sound on Sleep Transition and Sleep Duration in Newborns
Sleep is the cornerstone of early development. Adequate sleep in children is important for proper growth, development and the child's health. Sleep is a dynamic process that develops and matures rapidly, especially in the first few years of life, from infancy to early adolescence. Daily sleep duration decreases with age, starting from the newborn period. At birth, babies show a sleep process that is compatible with their mothers' circadian rhythm. Newborns usually wake up in line with their nutritional needs and have short transitional sleep periods. At approximately 10-12 weeks of age, the first signs of circadian rhythm begin to develop and become apparent with increased sleep during the night. It has been reported that music positively affects mother-infant bonding, reduces babies' stress and creates positive physiological and behavioral changes. In a study examining mothers' views and practices on singing lullabies, it was seen that 87.6% of mothers said that singing lullabies soothes their children and prepares them for sleep, 88.3% prefer to sing lullabies before going to sleep while preparing their children for sleep, and 66.2% sing lullabies. Therefore, it is thought that the research will fill this gap in newborns.

The Effect of Heart Sound and White Noise on Pain and Physiological Parameters During Hepatitis B Vaccine Injection
It can cause physiological and behavioral changes in infants such as pain, tachycardia, hypoxemia, increased blood pressure, grimacing, prolonged crying, and irritability. Vaccination is an important part of neonatal nursing care. Newborns express their pain nonverbally and behaviorally. Therefore, any pain assessment is based on the ability of others to recognize pain symptoms. This randomized controlled trial was planned to evaluate the effect of heart sound and white noise on pain and physiological parameters during intramuscular injection of hepatitis B vaccine in newborns. This randomized controlled study used parallel trial design.
