Because dietary habits established in early childhood often persist into adulthood, prioritizing this age group is a cost-effective investment in long-term national health and productivity. However, the National Food Consumption Survey in Ethiopia indicates a significant gap in dietary quality, with only 20% of households across all age groups consuming five or more food groups. Implementing multi-component nutrition interventions is essential, as these strategies significantly influence both the eating habits and dietary preferences of preschool children.

Nutritional Status, Nutritional Knowledge and Mental Health Among Indonesian Migrant Workers in Taiwan
The goal of this observational study is to understand more about the nutritional knowledge, nutritional status, and mental health conditions (depression, anxiety, and stress) of Indonesian live-in domestic migrant workers in Taiwan. Participants must be 20 years or older and currently working and living in their employer's home. They will be asked to fill out a set of simple surveys, either online or on paper. These surveys will include questions about nutrition knowledge, food intake, and mental health. The main goal is to find out how common malnutrition and emotional stress are in this group. The study will also look at how nutrition knowledge and food habits are connected to mental well-being. The results may help create better health programs for migrant care workers in the future.

Assessing Dietary Intake of Selected Food Components Using Short Questionnaires
The aim of the study is to validate short questionnaires for assessing dietary intake of selected food components, with a focus on dietary fibre and iron. Two internationally developed short questionnaires (FiberScreen \[for dietary fibre\] and IRONQ-FFQ \[for iron\]) were adapted to the Slovenian context and will be compared with the standard 24-hour dietary recall method.

Evaluation of Digital Decision-support Tool for Child Nutritional Monitoring: a Protocol for Cluster Randomized Controlled Trial in Urban and Semi-Urban Areas in Indonesia
This research is a collaborative study between Indonesia's Strategic Development Initiatives (CISDI), Knowledge Partnership Platform Australia - Indonesia (KONEKSI), Center on Child Protection and Wellbeing (PUSKAPA), and Center for Development Economics and Sustainability at Monash University. This study is a part of the PN PRIMA research universe, which is a program lead by CISDI with a focus of strengthening the primary healthcare facilities of Indonesia, known as Integrated Health Posts (Posyandu). This project supports the Ministry of Health's (MoH) flagship program: the Integrated Primary Health Care Services (ILP). This study aims to evaluate the impact of implementing a digital mHealth app, called the PN PRIMA app, in enhancing the work quality of Community Health Workers working in Posyandu, known as Kader. This study specifically improve the PN PRIMA app from a web-based platform to a mobile application. We aim to improve data quality, streamline service delivery workflows, and enhance decision-making support for community health workers. The enhanced version incorporates new features and Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) framework to strengthen primary health care delivery. Impact evaluation of the study will be conducted through a three-arm parallel cluster randomized controlled trial. Posyandu will be the unit in which randomization will occur. The primary outcomes focuses on the improvements of Kader Posyandu performance in delivering follow-up home visits and how the app effectively support Kader in delivering nutrition interventions for children under five years of age. The study will be conducted in the Puskesmas PN PRIMA catchment area, located in Kabupaten Bekasi and Kota Depok, focusing the intervention at the Posyandu level. In total, 38 Posyandu out of 12 health centers (Puskesmas) across the two areas will be recruited to take part in this study.

A Study of a Dietary Supplement on Serum Biomarkers in Children
This is a pilot clinical study designed to evaluate the effects of a dietary supplement on selected blood-based nutritional biomarkers in healthy children aged 4 to 15 years. Approximately 24 children will be screened and enrolled to account for potential dropouts, with a target of 20 participants completing the study. Eligible participants will attend a screening and baseline visit, followed by daily intake of the study supplement for 4 weeks. After the supplementation period, participants will return to the clinic for an end-of-study visit. Blood samples will be collected at baseline and after 4 weeks to measure nutritional biomarkers, including vitamin D, vitamin B12, folate, omega-3 fatty acids, and standard blood count parameters. Additional assessments include height, weight, body mass index (BMI), and a socioeconomic questionnaire. Throughout the study, participants or their caregivers will record daily supplement intake, any medications taken, and any adverse events in a study diary. The results of this pilot study will provide preliminary data on the effects of the dietary supplement on serum biomarkers in children.

Amino Acid (15) Peritoneal Dialysis Solution for Nutritional Improvement in Peritoneal Dialysis Patients
The goal of this clinical trial is to assess whether Amino Acid (15) Peritoneal Dialysis Solution can improve the nutritional status of adults with end-stage kidney disease who have received peritoneal dialysis for 6 months or longer. It will also observe the solution's effects on dialysis adequacy and peritoneal transport function, as well as monitor its short-term safety. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Can Amino Acid (15) Peritoneal Dialysis Solution raise the level of serum albumin (a key indicator of nutritional status) in participants? 2. How does this solution affect participants' dialysis adequacy and peritoneal transport function? 3. What adverse reactions might participants experience when using this solution? This is a single-arm study with a self-controlled design. Researchers will compare participants' health indicators before and after the intervention to evaluate the solution's effectiveness and safety. Participants will: 1. Continue their original peritoneal dialysis routine, replacing one bag of dialysis solution with Amino Acid (15) Peritoneal Dialysis Solution (2L per bag) after lunch every day for 6 months. 2. Undergo comprehensive health checks (including blood tests, nutritional status assessments, and peritoneal function evaluations) on the enrollment day (baseline), as well as at 3 and 6 months after the intervention. 3. Attend follow-up visits every 2 weeks to record dialysis-related data (such as ultrafiltration volume) and any uncomfortable symptoms or adverse reactions. 4. Incidence of Dysgeusia in Breast Cancer Patients Undergoing Chemotherapy
The goal of this observational study is to examine how frequently changes in taste occur in people with early-stage breast cancer who receive chemotherapy. It will also look at how these taste changes affect nutrition and quality of life. The main questions this study aims to answer are: * How many participants develop changes in taste during chemotherapy? * How do these changes affect eating habits, nutrition, and daily life? Participants are women with non-metastatic breast cancer who are receiving chemotherapy before or after surgery. Correlation Between Nutritional Status of Childhood Neurological Tumors and Quality of Life
Maintaining good nutritional status during treatment for children with cancer is crucial for many outcomes, such as overall survival rate, tolerance to treatment, susceptibility to infection, and quality of life. Neurotumors in children account for the highest proportion among solid tumors in children. Previous studies have clearly shown that neurotumors in children have different nutritional characteristics from hematological tumors and other solid tumors in children. Our retrospective data found that there was a significant correlation between the BMI Z values of children with neurotumors before and during radiotherapy and the frequency of adverse events. The occurrence of adverse events has a negative impact on the quality of life of child patients. Therefore, we plan to conduct a prospective, observational, multi-center longitudinal cohort study to evaluate the dynamic changes in nutritional status during the peri-radiotherapy period, explore the correlation between nutritional status and quality of life in children with neurotumors before and after radiotherapy, and establish a nutritional management plan and nutritional risk early warning model suitable for Chinese children with neurotumors.

Comparing Dumping Symptoms and Quality of Life 6 Months After Sleeve Gastrectomy With or Without Transit Bipartition in Adults With Obesity
This clinical study aims to compare two types of bariatric (weight loss) surgery used to treat obesity: sleeve gastrectomy alone and sleeve gastrectomy with transit bipartition. Both procedures help patients lose excess weight and improve obesity-related conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure. However, they may differ in how they affect digestion and patients' quality of life after surgery. One possible complication after bariatric surgery is dumping syndrome. This occurs when food passes too quickly from the stomach into the small intestine, causing symptoms such as nausea, bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, dizziness, or fatigue after eating. These symptoms can be uncomfortable and may interfere with daily activities, eating habits, and overall well-being. The main goal of this study is to evaluate and compare both the occurrence of dumping syndrome and the overall quality of life six months after surgery in two groups of patients: Those who undergo sleeve gastrectomy alone. Those who undergo sleeve gastrectomy combined with transit bipartition. Participants will be adults with obesity who are scheduled to undergo bariatric surgery. Each participant will be evaluated before and after surgery using medical assessments and validated questionnaires that measure symptoms, eating patterns, and different aspects of quality of life-including physical health, emotional well-being, and social functioning. Follow-up visits and questionnaires will be conducted six months after surgery to determine how each surgical technique affects patients' digestion, comfort after meals, and overall satisfaction with their health and lifestyle. The study's hypothesis is that adding transit bipartition to sleeve gastrectomy may decrease the frequency or severity of dumping syndrome and lead to better quality of life outcomes compared to sleeve gastrectomy alone. By comparing these two surgical approaches, this study hopes to help surgeons and patients make better-informed decisions about bariatric surgery, aiming for the best combination of effective weight loss, minimal side effects, and improved long-term quality of life.

Long-term Effectiveness and Implementation of the Meals, Education, and Gardens for In-School Adolescents Program
The overall objective of the proposed study is to determine the longer-term effectiveness and implementation of an updated school-based nutrition intervention package for reducing adolescent malnutrition. Aim 1 of the study is to determine the longer-term effectiveness of an updated intervention package on reducing adolescent malnutrition using a cluster randomized controlled trial in Dodoma, Tanzania. Four intervention schools and two control schools will be included. The intervention schools will receive an intervention package that includes school feeding, nutrition education, school vegetable garden, community workshops, and weekly iron and folic acid supplementation and annual deworming. The control schools will not receive any intervention. The intervention package will be implemented over one year. In each school, 125 adolescents aged between 14 and 17 and 125 mothers/female guardians will be enrolled. The primary outcomes will be moderate to severe anemia in adolescents and underweight in adolescents. The secondary outcomes will include anemia (any severity) and overweight/obesity in adolescents, diet quality in adolescents and mothers/female guardians, household food insecurity, and women's empowerment for mothers/female guardians. A baseline and an end-line evaluation of the outcomes will be implemented. Aim 2 of the study will be to assess the implementation of the updated intervention package by collecting quantitative and qualitative data from adolescents, mothers/female guardians, teachers, smallholder farmers, agricultural extension workers, school administrators, and governmental stakeholders. Using a convergent mixed methods approach, quantitative data (via questionnaires) and qualitative data (via semi-structured interviews and focus group discussions) will be analyzed to evaluate the implementation of the intervention package and identify its implementation barriers and facilitators.

Effects of Adjunct Omega-3 Long Chain Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids in Pulmonary Tuberculosis Patient: an Early Bactericidal Activity and Inflammatory Trial
The goal of this randomized controlled trial is to evaluate the early bactericidal activity, early inflammatory response, and safety of omega-3 long chain polyunsaturated fatty acid (n-3 PUFA) supplementation in adult patients (aged 18- 45 years) with newly diagnosed, bacteriologically confirmed drug-sensitive pulmonary tuberculosis. The main questions it aims to answers are: * Does adjunct n-3 LCPUFA supplementation reduce the sputum culture time to positivity * Does it improve inflammatory markers and TB treatment outcomes compared to placebo Researchers will compare daily supplementation with \~2g n-3 LCPUFA (EPA and DHA ) to placebo (high linoleic sunflower oil) to determine effects on bactericidal activity, inflammation, and clinical outcomes. Participants will: * Be randomly assigned to receive either n-3 LCPUFA or Placebo daily for 8 weeks with the intensive phase of TB treatment * Attend clinical visit baseline, and follow up visit mostly weekly for 2 months and then monthly for 4 months of the continuous phase of TB treatment * Provide blood, sputum and urine samples for biomarkers and metabolomic analysis * Undergo assessments of iron status, body composition and muscle strength

Effectiveness of a Modified Cost-Effective Dietary Plan in Promoting Weight Loss and Preservation of Lean Body Mass in Patients After Bariatric Surgery
This study will see if a low-cost dietary plan, based on the standard dietary guidelines of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and using locally available foods, can help patients lose weight and keep their lean body mass after bariatric surgery. It will also check if this plan can maintain healthy levels of important nutrients such as vitamin B12, iron, and vitamin D. Patients who have undergone bariatric surgery will be randomly assigned to follow either the low-cost diet or the regular hospital diet. Their weight, body composition, and nutrient levels will be tracked at baseline, and at 1, 3, and 6 months after surgery. The aim is to find out if this simpler, affordable diet, which follows international standards, works as well as the regular plan while being easier for low-income patients to follow.

Nutritional Status of Head and Neck Cancer Patients
This study aims to monitor the nutritional status of patients with head and neck cancer undergoing radiotherapy treatment. Throughout the treatment process, patients' body composition, handgrip strength, food intake, quality of life, and treatment-related side effects will be regularly assessed. Monitoring Nutritional Consequences of Obesity Treatment on Women's Health
The goal of this observational study is to investigate the long-term effect of obesity treatments on the health of women. This study will specifically focusses on the effects on nutritional intake, nutritional status, musculoskeletal health and reproductive health. Additionally, this study will also investigate the effect of obesity treatment on pregnancy outcomes and child development. To achieve the goal of this study, participants already receiving either surgical treatment for obesity or treatment with anti-obesity medication as part of their regular medical care will fill in additional questionnaires, provide blood, urine and feces samples, and undergo additional measurements of body composition and muscle strength up to for 10 years.

Effect of Access to Dietary Intervention in a Dialysis Unit
Objective: The aim of this study is to explore the effect of access to individual dietary counselling by a dietitian in the dialysis unit on biochemical values (phosphorus and potassium), diet, nutritional status, quality of life (QoL) and health literacy (HL). Hypothesis: Having access to a dietitian can better laboratory values and affect dietary intake, nutritional status, QoL and HL in a positive matter. Method: Pilot cluster RCT study in three the dialysis units in Region Zealand. Clustering of people on dialysis the same day to either intervention or control group. The groups is expected to be similar regarding clinical characteristics. Primary outcome: Change in average p-phosphate Secondary outcomes: Change in average p-potassium, number of phosphate binders, number of potassium binders, HeartDiet-score, Nutritional Status, Adherence to diet (End Stage Renal Disease Adherence Questionnaire), Quality of life (Kidney Disease Quality of Life Short Form) and Health literacy (Health Literacy Questionnaire) Intervention: The intervention group receives an initial individual dietary interview, monthly follow-up and weekly access to a dietitian in the dialysis unit for four months. The control group receives usual care with referral to a dietitian when needed.

Pediatric Feeding Disorder Evolution in Amiens University Hospital
Pediatric feeding disorders (PFDss) affect children with age-inappropriate oral intakes lasting at least 2 weeks, associated with medical, nutritional, psychosocial or feeding skills dysfunction. Feeding is a complex function involving the digestive tract, and different structures. It evolves throughout the child's development. It involves the caregiver-child relationship. Dysfunction of one or more of these systems may be the cause of pediatric feeding disorders. PFDs affect 25% of children, 5% with severe forms. PFDs can have severe nutritional consequences. They often cause malnutrition, even undernutrition, and sometimes overweight.

Effect of Probiotic and Synbiotic Administration on Nutritional Status in Hemodialysis Patients
This study aims to investigate the impact of probiotics and synbiotics on the nutritional status of patients with end-stage kidney disease (ESRD) who are undergoing hemodialysis. ESRD patients often face challenges such as poor nutritional status, increased risk of infections, and imbalances in gut microbiota. These challenges are made worse by the frequent use of medications, dietary restrictions, and the hemodialysis process itself, which can disturb the gut's natural bacteria balance. Probiotics are live microorganisms that provide health benefits when taken in adequate amounts, while synbiotics are a combination of probiotics and prebiotics (substances that promote the growth of beneficial bacteria). The goal of this study is to explore whether supplementing ESRD patients with probiotics or synbiotics can improve their nutritional health, including aspects like body mass index (BMI), skin fold thickness, and protein metabolism. The study will involve 60 patients from a hemodialysis center in Mansoura, Egypt. Patients will be randomly assigned to one of three groups: one group will receive probiotics, another will receive synbiotics, and the third group will act as a control (no treatment). The study will evaluate changes in nutritional markers and other health parameters before and after six months of supplementation. This study hopes to provide insights into new, cost-effective interventions for improving the health of patients undergoing long-term dialysis treatment by addressing the question of whether these supplements can improve the nutritional status of hemodialysis patients.

Polish Infants and Toddler Nutritional Study
A cross-sectional study representative of the Polish population of children aged 5 months to 6 years conducted in the cross-sectional study model, the main objective of which is to assess the nutritional value of the diet of children aged from 5 months to 6 years with regard to the basic macronutrients: protein (P), fat (F), carbohydrates (C). The study will include: dietary interviews, which will include the Food Frequency Questionnaire questionnaire (FFQ) and a 3-day food diary, as well as anthropometric measurements. The study will involve 1,000 children who will be selected by a random draw based on government database. The survey will be conducted by trained field interviewers - training will be provided by a dietician and an anthropologist. The study also included validation of the FFQ questionnaire.

Impact of Iron Deficiency Anemia on Neurobehavioral and Cognitive Development in Children Aged 6 to 24 Months
The goal of this observational study is to explore the relationship between iron-deficiency anemia and neurobehavioral development in children aged 6-24 months. This study focuses on children who undergo health check-ups and blood tests at pediatric health clinics in Pingshan District, Shenzhen, China. The main questions it aims to answer are: How does iron-deficiency anemia affect children's neurobehavioral development, including motor skills, language ability, and social behavior? How does anemia influence growth and nutrition, such as weight, height, and body mass index (BMI) in children? Participants will: Undergo blood tests (including hemoglobin levels, serum ferritin, and serum iron) to assess anemia status. Be assessed using the "Neuropsychological Behavioral Development Scale for Children Aged 0-6" to measure motor, cognitive, language, and social development. Provide general health information, such as birth history, feeding methods, and parental details, through interviews with trained surveyors. Researchers will compare children with and without iron-deficiency anemia to determine differences in neurobehavioral outcomes and development levels. The findings aim to provide evidence for early interventions to prevent the negative impacts of anemia and support children's healthy development.
