Effect of Comic-Based Education on Attitudes Toward Patient Rights
The goal of this randomized controlled trial is to evaluate whether comic-based education improves attitudes toward the use of patient rights among adults receiving inpatient care. The main question is whether patients who receive comic-based patient rights education have more positive attitudes toward using their patient rights than patients who receive routine verbal and written patient rights education.
Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. The intervention group will receive an approximately 15-minute, individual, face-to-face patient rights education session using a comic-based educational brochure. The control group will receive the hospital's routine patient rights education, consisting of verbal and written information provided by clinical nurses for approximately 15 minutes. Attitudes toward the use of patient rights will be measured before and immediately after the education in both groups.
