Focused Shockwave Therapy for Plantar Fasciopathy

This study investigates whether focused Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (fESWT) helps people with chronic heel pain, commonly known as plantar fasciitis. Many patients suffer from this condition for more than six months without relief. The study compares two groups: one receiving fESWT treatment plus a specific exercise program, and a "wait-list" group that only performs the exercises at first. The shockwave treatment uses precise sound waves targeted at the painful area to stimulate the body's natural healing process. Researchers will measure if the treatment reduces pain and improves the patient's ability to walk and perform daily activities. Additionally, ultrasound will be used to see if the thickness of the plantar fascia (the tissue under the foot) decreases and returns to a healthier state. The goal is to confirm if fESWT provides a faster and more effective recovery than exercise alone.

Shockwave Therapy for Plantar Fasciitis RCT

Inflammation of the plantar fascia is known as plantar fasciitis and is commonly seen in active or overweight individuals. It can be treated via conservative or surgical therapies. Extracorporeal shockwave therapy has shown promise in the treatment of plantar fasciitis. Several studies have compared the effects of different types of extracorporeal shockwave therapy (radial and focused) with other forms of conservative treatment in patients with chronic plantar fasciitis. No study has yet compared the effect of radial vs. focused shockwave therapy on pain in this population.

HP Arize 3D Orthotics for Planar Fasciitis

Currently 77% of Americans experience foot pain, of which a large portion can be attributed to plantar fasciitis. The Arize Orthotic solution, developed in collaboration with podiatrists and leading industry experts, is a new digital solution that helps podiatrists create custom foot orthoses tailored to the patient, quickly, easily, accurately, and reliably. This pilot study will evaluate the effectiveness and clinical benefit of 3D printed foot orthotics compared to traditionally fabricated custom-made orthotics and assess compliance and patient satisfaction in patients with plantar fasciitis.

Plantar Fasciitis Randomized Clinical Control Trial

The primary aim of this clinical experiment is to compare, in terms of pain relief measured using the 10-cm visual analog scale (VAS) pain score (5-7), the clinical results of ultrasound-guided injection (USGI) versus anatomic topography-guided injection (ATGI) of corticosteroid for the treatment of proximal PF. Secondary aims will be to compare foot-related quality of life, as measured using the Foot Function Index (FFI)and the Bristol Foot Score (BFS), between the injection groups, and also to compare the pre-injection to late-term post-injection thickness of the plantar fascia as measured in the nested USGI group.

Medial Longitudinal Arch Support and Plantar Fascia Stretch Taping in Plantar Fasciitis

Rationale of this research is to evaluate the outcome of two widely used but biomechanically distinct techniques of Taping done for plantar fascia i.e. Fascia taping which supports the fascia, and Low dye taping which realigns with medial longitudinal arch. The significance of this study is to identify which taping technique will improve pain, ankle ROM, foot function and arch flexibility which will help clinicians in identifying the most suitable and effective taping method for the patients

Effect of Kaltenborn vs Mulligan Mobilization With Intrinsic Foot Strengthening in Plantar Fasciitis

This study will compare the effects of Kaltenborn and Mulligan ankle mobilization techniques, combined with intrinsic foot muscle strengthening, on pain, functional status, and dorsiflexion range of motion in patients with plantar fasciitis. Eighty-two participants with chronic heel pain will be randomly allocated into two groups. Both groups will receive standard care including ultrasound therapy, stretching, and cryotherapy, while Group A will receive Kaltenborn mobilization and Group B will receive Mulligan mobilization. Pain, function, and ankle range of motion will be assessed at baseline and after three weeks of treatment.

Responsiveness And Minimal Clinically Important Difference Of Navicular Height Drop Test With Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis is a common musculoskeletal condition characterized by heel pain and impaired foot function, often linked to abnormal foot biomechanics. The Navicular Height Drop (NHD) test is a non-invasive tool used to assess dynamic foot posture by measuring changes in the medial longitudinal arch. Evaluating the test's responsiveness and minimal clinically important difference (MCID) can help determine its clinical relevance in monitoring treatment outcomes. Study objective to evaluate the responsiveness and determine the minimal clinically important difference (MCID) of the Navicular Height Drop (NHD) test in patients with plantar fasciitis.
