Recovering From COVID-19 Lingering Symptoms Adaptive Integrative Medicine Trial - Effect of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for the Treatment of Post COVID Condition
The RECLAIM study platform will be used to explore whether the use of Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy (HBOT) improves the symptoms of post covid cognitive dysfunction. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a well-established medical treatment. HBOT promotes healing by delivering a high concentration of oxygen into the body. This high level of oxygen has a number of known benefits, such as growth of new blood vessels, as well as regulating immune and inflammation responses. It helps protect the brain and other nervous tissue from inflammation. HBOT may also have antiviral effects. Collectively, it has the potential to target the underlying mechanisms believed to play a critical role in the development of Long COVID. Many individuals with Long COVID complain of fatigue, brain fog, muscle aches and other symptoms. There is evidence to suggest that these symptoms may be a problem with the blood vessels, resulting in abnormal delivery of oxygen to tissues. Thus, our group is investigating whether HBOT improves post-COVID cognitive dysfunction.

Outcomes From Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO2) Treatment for Emerging Indications
This study will evaluate the effectiveness of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) on treating emerging indications (i.e., conditions that have shown to potentially benefit from HBOT) using the Multicenter Registry for Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment. The study team aims to collect ongoing data on how well HBOT treats these emerging indications, and to add these data to the growing HBO Registry. The research team hypothesizes that HBOT will result in improvements of the condition of the various emerging indications.

Mitochondrial Function in Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells, Muscle, and Skin of Long COVID Patients
Mitochondria are structures inside cells that are responsible for producing energy from nutrients through a series of steps, using oxygen. To have an idea of how well the mitochondria can produce energy, we can measure how much oxygen they use. The goal of this study is to: 1. To compare the oxygen use between people with long COVID and people who completely recovered after COVID-19, using three techniques that measure the oxygen use in blood cells, on the skin and in the muscle 2. To test how similar these three techniques are in measuring the oxygen used in the three different tissues Participants will: * Complete surveys, * Wear an activity tracker (7 days), * Undergo several non-invasive tests, and * Donate a blood sample The study will take place in UZ Brussel hospital and will take 2 study visits, approximately 7 days apart.

Internet Delivered Cognitive Rehabilitation for Mild Cognitive Impairments
Acquired brain injury and neurological disorders cause cognitive deficits, which in turn cause reduced participation in everyday life. Cognitive rehabilitation, where patients learn about cognition, cognitive deficits and ways to circumvent problems arising from deficits can increase participation and quality of life. ERehabCog is an internet delivered cognitive rehabilitation program intended for patients suffering mild to moderate impairments. The program consists of information and homework assignments, which take approximately 10 weeks to complete with the assistance of a therapist. Effects are evaluated through measures of everyday life participation, mood, and life satisfaction and compared with an attention training program. This study aims to contribute to the evidence base for internet delivered cognitive rehabilitation for mild to moderate cognitive impairments. Evidence based interventions are vital to use the potential of technology to the benefit of affected patients.
