Comparative Assessment of Oral Premedication Regimens in Pediatric Ambulatory Surgery
This prospective, three-arm study aims to evaluate the effects of different oral premedication regimens on venipuncture tolerance in pediatric patients undergoing ambulatory surgery. Children aged 4-12 years scheduled for elective day-case procedures will receive oral midazolam alone, midazolam combined with ibuprofen, or midazolam combined with ketamine prior to anesthesia induction. The primary outcome is the proportion of children with well-tolerated venipuncture, assessed using standardized behavioral and pain scales. Secondary outcomes include anxiety levels, venipuncture success parameters, time to successful intravenous access, and parent and anesthesiologist satisfaction. In cases of inadequate premedication or failed venipuncture, a predefined rescue inhalational induction protocol will be applied to ensure patient safety. The study aims to identify clinically effective premedication strategies that may improve cooperation and reduce distress during intravenous cannulation in pediatric ambulatory anesthesia.

Effect of Virtual Reality on the Need of Premedication Before Surgery
This study will assess, on patients requesting a pharmacological premedication in the preoperative period, if virtual reality reality could reduce the request of pharmacological premedication while maintaining a good level of comfort for the patient. The aim of this study is to understand if virtual reality could reduce the need for pharmacological premedication and their associated secondary effects.

1-hour Premedication for Allergy Goal in Emergency: PAGE-1 is a prospective, parallel, two-arm, non-inferiority, randomized controlled trial evaluating the safety of a 1-hour (intervention) versus a 4-hour (standard regimen) intravenous (IV) premedication protocol in adult patients in the Emergency Department (ED) with a documented iodinated contrast allergy and requiring computed tomography (CT) imaging for a high-risk indication.

Premedication With N-acetylcysteine and Simethicone to Improve Mucosal Visualization in Elective Upper Endoscopy
The goal of this randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial is to assess whether the combination of N-acetylcysteine and simethicone improves mucosal visibility during upper gastrointestinal endoscopy in adults aged 18 to 99 years of both sexes, including both healthy individuals and those with non-bleeding gastrointestinal symptoms. The main questions this study aims to answer are: Does pre-endoscopy administration of N-acetylcysteine/simethicone improve mucosal visualization based on the Toronto Upper Gastrointestinal Cleanliness Score (TUGS)? Is this combination safe and well tolerated in this patient population? Researchers will compare patients receiving N-acetylcysteine (600 mg) and simethicone (100 mg) orally 20-60 minutes before the procedure with those receiving placebo (water) to determine if there is a significant improvement in TUGS scores. Participants will: Receive a single oral dose of either N-acetylcysteine/simethicone or placebo prior to endoscopy Undergo a routine upper GI endoscopy Have mucosal cleanliness evaluated using the TUGS scoring system Be monitored for any adverse events or intolerance
