Active Oxygen and Negative Ion Sanitary Pads for Episiotomy Pain, Healing, and Postpartum Symptoms

This study is to assess the impact of sanitary pads infused with active oxygen and negative ions on episiotomy pain, wound healing, and postpartum physical symptoms in primiparous women. Participants will be randomly allocated to either the intervention group, utilizing active oxygen and negative ion pads, or the control group, employing normal postpartum pads. The research will assess pain intensity, recovery advancement, and physical manifestations during the initial postpartum phase. The objective is to ascertain if the intervention offers supplementary advantages relative to usual care.

QR-Based Virtual Tour and Childbirth Outcomes

Childbirth is a unique experience that affects maternal health physiologically, emotionally, and socially, and represents a crucial step in the transition to motherhood. Primiparous women often experience fear related to childbirth due to uncertainty about the process, pain, or possible complications. This randomized controlled trial aims to evaluate the effect of a QR code-based virtual tour of the delivery room on primiparous women's fear of childbirth, childbirth readiness, vaginal birth rate, and postpartum breastfeeding self-efficacy. Participants will be provided access to three virtual videos via QR codes, allowing them to explore the delivery room, understand the admission process, and learn about postpartum care. The study will assess outcomes using validated scales for childbirth fear, prenatal readiness, birth-related self-efficacy, and postpartum breastfeeding. By familiarizing participants with the delivery environment, this intervention aims to reduce fear, improve confidence and preparedness, and encourage vaginal delivery. The findings are expected to inform strategies to enhance maternal experiences, support national initiatives such as the Normal Birth Action Plan, and contribute to safer, more satisfying birth and breastfeeding outcomes.

Effectiveness of Breastfeeding Arm Sling and Biological Feeding Position in Primiparous Womenl

Abstract The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that babies be fed exclusively with breast milk for the first six months after birth (World Health Organization, 2020). However, for women who are breastfeeding for the first time (primiparas), the breastfeeding process often presents both physical and psychological challenges. In recent years, technological and ergonomic solutions have been developed to support the breastfeeding process, and a new tool called a 'breastfeeding arm sling' is planned to be developed. This arm sling aims to support the mother's arm, allowing the baby to be positioned more stably and thus making the breastfeeding process more comfortable . On the other hand, the biological feeding position (laid-back breastfeeding) is an effective method that uses the effects of gravity to activate the baby's natural reflexes and allows the mother to breastfeed in a comfortable position . This study is a randomised controlled experimental study aimed at comparing the effects of the newly developed Breastfeeding Arm Support and the biological feeding position on breastfeeding in primiparous women. The research will be conducted with primiparous women who gave birth between September and December 2025 at the Women's Delivery Services 1 and 2 of Gaziantep Abdulkadir Yüksel State Hospital. Data will be collected through face-to-face interviews and questionnaire forms in the form of pre-tests and post-tests. The study includes two groups: 1. Group receiving the Breastfeeding Arm Support group (n = 44) 2. Group receiving the Biological Feeding Position (n = 44) Post-intervention post-tests will be administered to both groups, and the results will be compared.

Maternal Reflective Functioning During the Transition to Motherhood

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about Maternal Reflective Function (MRF) during the transition to motherhood. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does MRF mediates the connection between risk factors for mental health difficulties during first pregnancy and motherhood (the transition to motherhood) and outcomes related to the mother, the infant, and their relationship. Participants will: Answer questionnaires and clinical interviews during pregnancy and after birth of the first child (twice at third trimester, 1 and 3 months after birth). intervention group will participate in an online short intervention to enhance MRF.
