Decentralized Study to Evaluate a Dietary Supplement for Episodes of Mild Acute Stress in Healthy People

The purpose of this decentralized, two-arm, double-blinded, crossover clinical study is to test the efficacy of a supplement to reduce symptoms of acute stress or situational anxiety in healthy volunteers. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Does a dietary supplement reduce feelings of anxiety after self-identified episodes of stress or anxiety when compared to their experience after taking a placebo? 2. On a scale of 1-5, how much would the volunteer like to take the assigned treatment in the future? 3. Are any adverse events identified after either treatment, supplement, or placebo? The study volunteers will: During weeks 1-2, self-identify episodes of acute stress or situational anxiety and rate feelings of anxiety over the next five hours after taking the study product assigned for Period 1. During week 3, volunteers will not take any study product nor complete any surveys. During weeks 4-5, self-identify an episode of acute stress or situational anxiety and rate feelings of anxiety over the next five hours after taking the study product assigned for Period 2.

Impact of Therapy Dogs on Child Anxiety and Behavior During Local Anesthesia for Dental Procedures

Therapy dogs in dental offices might help anxious children during dental care. Therapy dogs might help children during injection of local anesthetic, when we inject numbing medication before working on the teeth. The goal of this study is to learn if having a therapy dog with a child during the injection of numbing medication helps children to be more comfortable at the dentist's office. This study is of children who need dental care using local anesthesia. Study participant's behavioral reactions and heart rate during injection of local anesthetic with and without having a therapy dog present will be recorded and children and their guardians will be asked a few short questions about the injection and therapy dog after injection.

Cognitive Load Assessment of Helicopter Pilots in Training

The aim of this study is to identify the effect of the increase of the situation demands, with or without a thread, on military helicopter pilot's cognitive load, depending on their skills acquisition (at the beginning, midway and end of training course). This study is carried out on a simulator, in virtual reality and allows to identify the moments of cognitive load enhancement and the associated indicators such as subjective, physiological and behavioural indicators. Recommendations will be done to go towards an individualization of the lessons during the pilots education, by anticipating an overload which has a deleterious effect on learning.
