ACTIVE NOT RECRUITING

NCT05318274

Hypofractionated Radiation Therapy vs Standard Treatment in Breast Cancer.

An explanatory study comparing complementary treatment to breast conservative surgery with radiation therapy DCIS, T1-T2 N0 M0 (AJCC v8) 1 week schedule vs 3.1 weeks standard schedule, in order to determine the equivalence of local tumor control, survival, acute and chronic toxicity. Shorter curse of radiation therapy may lead to similar local control of tumor cells and lower rates of toxicity than 3.1 standard treatment.

Intraoperative Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Breast Cancer Undergoing Breast-Conserving Surgery

This phase IV trial studies the side effects of intraoperative radiation therapy and how well it works in treating patients with breast cancer undergoing breast-conserving surgery. Delivering radiation one time to the area where the tumor was removed while the patient is still in the operating room may kill any residual tumor cells and may be as effective as standard radiation therapy in patients with early stage breast cancer.

Intraoperative Electron Beam Radiotherapy Boost in Treating Patients With Stage I-II Breast Cancer Undergoing Surgery With Reconstruction

This phase II trial studies the side effects of intraoperative electron beam radiotherapy boost and to see how well it works in treating patients with stage I-II breast cancer undergoing surgery with reconstruction. Giving a single dose of electron beam radiation to the tumor cavity during the breast surgery before reconstruction may be a better way to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors.

Paclitaxel & Cyclophosphamide With or Without Trastuzumab Before Surgery in Treating Previously Untreated Breast Cancer

This phase II trial studies the side effects and how well giving paclitaxel and cyclophosphamide with or without trastuzumab before surgery works in treating patients with previously untreated breast cancer. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel and cyclophosphamide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Monoclonal antibodies, such as trastuzumab, may block tumor growth in different ways by targeting certain cells. Giving combination chemotherapy with or without trastuzumab before surgery may make the tumor smaller and reduce the amount of normal tissue that needs to be removed.

A Study to Evaluate Genetic Predictors of Aromatase Inhibitor Musculoskeletal Symptoms (AIMSS)

E1Z11 is a study to determine whether certain genetic information can predict which breast cancer patients will discontinue treatment with aromatase inhibitors (AIs) due to the development of musculoskeletal symptoms (MSS). Women with stage I-III breast cancer who are prescribed the aromatase inhibitor anastrozole as treatment may join.
