Binaural Beats for Postoperative Pain and Anxiety Reduction

To deliver a 30-minute binaural beats audio intervention in PACU and collect pain and anxiety outcomes immediately following surgery, and 4 hours following surgery completion in adults undergoing ambulatory total knee arthroplasty and total hip arthroplasty (TKA and THA).

Comparing Articular Noise and Its Perception Between Two Different Types of Individualized Total Knee Arthroplasty

Knee osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disorder leading to pain and limited movement. Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) has transformed the treatment of knee osteoarthritis, resulting in long-term outcomes that enhance the quality of life for patients. Some individuals report experiencing noise after undergoing TKA. However, there are few randomized controlled trials that assess postoperative noise following the procedure. Additionally, no research has been conducted on individualized TKA, which involves custom-made prostheses tailored to a patient's knee shape. This study aimed to compare the incidence of noise reported by patients who undergo a primary individualized TKA using either cruciate-retaining or posterior-stabilized designs.

Comparison of Functional Recovery Between Restricted Inverse Kinematic Alignment and Adjusted Mechanical Alignment With Robotic-assisted Unilateral Total Knee Arthroplasty.

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if restricted inverse kinematic alignment total knee arthroplasty (restricted iKA TKA) improves functional recovery compared to adjusted mechanical alignment total knee arthroplasty (aMA TKA) in patients undergoing unilateral robotic-assisted total knee arthroplasty by comparing performance-based outcome, 2-minute walk test (2MWT) as a primary outcome. This trial will also assess other outcomes including satisfaction, patient-reported functional outcomes, range of motion, visual analog scale for pain and complication of both techniques. The main question aims to answer is: In unilateral robotic-assisted total knee arthroplasty, dose Restricted iKA technique provide better postoperative performance-based outcome compared to aMA technique? Researchers will compare restricted iKA and aMA technique to determine which technique offers better acceleration in functional recovery and patient satisfaction. Participants will: After randomization, participants will allocate to either restricted iKA or aMA technique for unilateral robotic-assisted total knee arthroplasty. Attend follow-up visits for assessments of 2-minute walk test (Primary outcome), Time up and go test (TUG), VAS for pain, ROM and complete patient-reported functional outcome questionnaires regarding knee function and satisfaction at regular intervals.

A Randomized Study on Sagittal Angle Differences in Lower Limbs Between Normal Individuals and Osteoarthritis Patients

With China gradually entering an aging society, the proportion of the elderly population is gradually increasing, and the number of patients with knee disease is also increasing year by year. Total knee arthroplasty is one of the effective methods for the treatment of joint disease, which can effectively relieve knee pain, restore function and improve the quality of life. The goal of total knee arthroplasty is to relieve pain, restore function and obtain a long service life. Whether total knee arthroplasty can obtain good alignment is very important for the postoperative recovery of patients. The alignment of lower limb sagittal position is of great significance for evaluating whether the crowd is straightened or not, and can also evaluate and guide the TKA in sagittal position. At present, there are few studies on the sagittal position of the lower limb, and there is no clear definition of whether the lower limb is extended in the sagittal position. At the same time, there is no clear method to evaluate whether the lower limb is extended in the sagittal position in normal people and patients with OA. Therefore, it is urgent to develop a classification standard for the sagittal extension of the lower limb, which can be used in clinical evaluation and TKA operation evaluation. This study will be carried out in the first medical center of the Chinese PLA General Hospital, and a total of about 400 people are expected to be enrolled.

Comparing Efficacy Between Restricted Kinematic Alignment vs Mechanical Alignment in Bilateral TKA

The goal of this RCT is to investigate efficacy between restricted kinematic alignment and mechanical alignment TKA in simultaneous bilateral TKA patients. The main question\[s\] it aims to answer are: * Does rKA have better functional outcomes than MA in simultaneous bilateral TKA patients? * Does rKA have lower pain score than MA in simultaneous bilateral TKA patients? Participants will undergo simultaneous bilateral TKA and randomized one side will use rKA and the other side will use MA.
