Video-Based Preoperative Education in Laparoscopic Tubal Ligation

This quasi-experimental study aimed to compare video-based preoperative education with traditional verbal counseling in terms of anxiety, postoperative pain, and patient satisfaction among women scheduled for laparoscopic tubal ligation. The study was conducted between January and June 2024 and included 80 women. Participants were allocated to either a routine verbal counseling group or a video-based education group, with 40 participants in each group. The video-based education group received preoperative counseling through an animated educational video, whereas the control group received routine verbal counseling. Demographic and obstetric characteristics were recorded. Anxiety levels were assessed using the Spielberger State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, postoperative pain was evaluated using the Visual Analogue Scale, and patient satisfaction was measured after the procedure. Comparative Analysis of Spinal Anesthesia Versus General Anesthesia for vNOTES

This study compares general anesthesia and spinal anesthesia for vNOTE tubal sterilization. A direct comparison of these methods has not been done before for this surgical approach. Investigators will aim to compare the two methods to determine the differences in perioperative complications, postoperative pain, postoperative nausea and vomiting, and the time to get the patient ready for discharge from the recovery room.
