User Evaluation Think Life
This study aims to evaluate user experiences with the online self-help course Think Life, a suicide prevention intervention for individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts. Think Life was developed by the Flemish Centre of Expertise in Suicide Prevention (VLESP) and is freely available via Zelfmoord1813.be. The course was originally developed in 2014 and updated in 2025 to improve its look and feel, usability, and inclusiveness, without fundamental changes to its core content. The researchers seek to better understand how users experience the updated version of Think Life, including perceived strengths, usability, and overall satisfaction with the course. Users of the Think Life self-help course will be invited through a call displayed on the course homepage to voluntarily participate in an online user evaluation study. Interested individuals can access an online informed consent form via a public internet link hosted on REDCap. Participants who provide online informed consent and meet the inclusion criteria will automatically be redirected to the online questionnaire, which is also hosted on REDCap. Approximately 1000 participants aged 18 years or older can be included in this study. Participants are invited to complete a one-time online questionnaire with an estimated completion time of approximately 10 minutes.

Construction and Feasibility Study of a Home-Based Intelligent Symptom Management Program for Lung Cancer Patients Receiving Combined Drug Therapy Based on Symptom Journey Profiling
The goal of this clinical trial is to develop and evaluate a home-based intelligent symptom management program based on symptom journey profiles for patients with lung cancer receiving combination drug therapy. The program will be delivered through the "Zhihu Feifang" WeChat mini-program and is designed to help patients monitor symptoms, receive personalized symptom management recommendations, and obtain timely support during treatment intervals at home. The study will assess the feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary effectiveness of this intelligent symptom management program. The main research questions are as follows: (1) Is the intelligent symptom management program feasible and acceptable for patients with lung cancer receiving combination drug therapy? (2) Compared with usual care, can the program reduce symptom burden and improve symptom self-management ability? (3) Can the program improve quality of life and help patients identify and manage symptoms more promptly during treatment intervals? Researchers will compare the intelligent symptom management program with usual care to evaluate its preliminary effectiveness. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the intervention group or the usual care group. Participants in the intervention group will: (1) Receive usual care plus the "Zhihu Feifang" WeChat mini-program intervention; (2) Use the mini-program during four consecutive treatment intervals, lasting approximately 4 months; (3) Complete regular symptom assessments through the mini-program; (4) Receive personalized symptom management education, coping strategies, and risk alerts based on their symptom severity and symptom changes; (5) Receive nurse monitoring and follow-up support when needed; (6) Complete questionnaires at baseline and at follow-up time points during the study; (7) Some participants may also take part in an interview after the intervention to share their experience and suggestions. Participants in the usual care group will receive routine follow-up care, including health education, telephone follow-up, and medical visit guidance.

Improving the HIV Care Continuum With mHealth Technology
Youth living with HIV (YLHIV) face barriers to engagement and retention in HIV care, show poor medication adherence, and often fail to achieve and maintain viral suppression. YLHIV in the southern United States have particularly poor care engagement outcomes. South Carolina is one of nine states identified as "key drivers" of the US HIV epidemic, and HIV rates for youth in South Carolina have risen in recent years. Tailored interventions are urgently needed to improve outcomes for this population. One promising approach is to reach YLHIV via mobile Health (mHealth) technology, yet few efforts have sought to tailor mHealth interventions to the needs of YLHIV in the southern US. Thus, the scientific objective of this study is to pilot test a new mHealth intervention, called MindBodyU, designed to increase engagement/retention in care and ART adherence among YLHIV in South Carolina. In this study, investigators will evaluate the feasibility, acceptability, and initial efficacy of the mHealth intervention with a six-month pilot trial with 40 YLHIV in South Carolina.

Evaluation of a Mobile Health Intervention to Improve Sexual and Reproductive Health Outcomes Among Kenyan Adolescents Living in Urban Informal Settlements
This two-year study evaluates a mobile phone-based comprehensive sexuality education program designed to support adolescent sexual and reproductive health in Kenya, where rates of teenage pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections remain high. The program, called AskDoki, delivers age-appropriate health information through the WhatsApp platform and is supported by trained youth peer leaders known as Digital Champions, who help adolescents access and use the program. Communities participating in the study are assigned either to receive the AskDoki program with Digital Champion support (intervention communities) or to not receive the program (comparison communities). Adolescents in both intervention and comparison communities complete surveys before the program begins and again six months after implementation of the AskDoki program. The surveys assess health knowledge, attitudes, perceptions, and intended behaviors related to sexual and reproductive health. The study compares changes in survey responses over time between intervention and comparison communities to assess the program's effectiveness. It also evaluates how feasible it is to use Digital Champions to support adolescents' engagement with the mobile program and examines the cost-effectiveness of this approach.

mHealth Intervention for Improving Vaccination Coverage in Bangladesh
Noncompliance and delay in vaccination have caused millions of preventable deaths worldwide particularly in low-and middle-income countries (LMICs). The main reasons for delay in vaccinations or dropout from vaccination programs are vaccine hesitancy, lack of knowledge, forgetting due date, lack of trust, and religious and social barriers. Recently, various mobile health (mHealth) interventions such as voice call, text message reminders have been implemented in LMICs to improve awareness of vaccine availability and provide timely reminders. However, the implication and impact assessment of mHealth interventions with behavior change message for improving vaccination coverage and timeliness is limited. In this project, a three-armed cluster randomized controlled trial (cRCT) will be conducted to assess the impact and cost-effectiveness of mHealth interventions with behavioral change approach on vaccination coverage and timeliness in Bangladesh. A total of 7800 caregivers of children aged less than 4 weeks will be recruited and randomly allocated equally to each arm: control, voice call, and short message service (SMS) reminders with behavioral change message. The primary outcomes will include coverage of full immunization among children in first year of life, and secondary outcomes will be coverage for each vaccine, timeliness, and infant mortality.

Technology-Based Resources to Increase Uptake of Sexual Health Services for Teens
Alone time with healthcare providers is vital for adolescents, as recommended by several professional organizations, as it enhances health service utilization, empowers adolescents to manage their health, and facilitates discussions on sensitive issues. Despite its importance, only 40% of adolescents have private conversations with clinicians during visits. mHealth technology offers a promising solution for effective interventions to promote alone time with providers for adolescents, parents, and healthcare providers. This pilot study aims to evaluate the preliminary efficacy of a technology-based intervention designed to increase alone time with providers during well-adolescent visits (WAVs) and its impact on trustworthiness, parent-adolescent communication, sexual risk communication, parental monitoring, and parental support. After providing consent, participants accessed a study website to complete a baseline survey, interact with four modules, and complete a post-test survey one month after WAVs. Surveys assessed alone time, trustworthiness, parent-adolescent communication, sexual risk communication, parental monitoring, and parental support.

LoVE4MUM: Virtual Engagement for Preventing Postpartum Depression
Postpartum depression is a serious concern affecting mothers and their infants, especially with limited traditional support. This pilot study evaluates the effectiveness of a novel mobile app called LoVE4MUM, developed based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Psychoeducation principles, in preventing postpartum depression. The pilot trial involves 64 mothers randomly assigned to receive either standard care or standard care plus the LoVE4MUM. Primary outcome is improvement in depression, with secondary outcomes including mental health literacy and automatic negative thoughts. This research aims to provide initial evidence on the potential of mobile health tools to support maternal mental health, paving the way for future accessible and effective interventions.

Almost 3 billion people worldwide, including 89% people in Bangladesh, are exposed to harmful household air pollutants (HAP) emitted from combustion of biomass (wood, agricultural residue, cow dung, etc.) fuel use for cooking. While health risks associated with air-pollution have been reasonably well-studied in developed countries, there is little evidence on health benefits achievable by HAP reduction through clean fuel use, especially in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Earlier the investigators showed that Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) for 24 months, reduced personal PM2.5 exposure by 58.17 percent which induced novel changes in immune and inflammatory responses in the participants; however cardiopulmonary markers remained relatively stable in post-intervention assessment. In this study, the investigators aim to evaluate the effects of mobile phone based (mHealth) Behavioural Change Communication (BCC) intervention on adoption and exclusive use of LPG. The investigators also aimed to observe whether long-term effects of HAP reduction can impact the subclinical measures of cardio-vascular and pulmonary dysfunction and regulate innate and inflammatory immune function among women and children in semi-rural settings in Bangladesh. The investigators will also investigate the influence of exposure to HAP on antibody response to vaccines (adaptive immunity). The BCC intervention will be provided by conducting a large household level randomized controlled trial by educational intervention using mHealth based technology. In addition, the investigators will continue following the cohort and will conduct rigorous and repeated personalized (24 hours) and area (over 5 days) assessments of PM2.5 and black carbon (BC) exposure to examine the long-term effects of HAP reduction on subclinical measures of cardio-pulmonary and immune dysfunction including effect of HAP exposure on antibody response to vaccine.
