NCT07462546

Transcranial Doppler for Internal Carotid Artery Stenting (TCD-ICAS)

Carotid artery stenting (CAS) prevents stroke but carries risks of perioperative cerebral embolism. Transcranial Doppler (TCD) ultrasound can detect microemboli during CAS and may offer therapeutic benefits through ultrasound-enhanced thrombolysis. Trials like SONOBUSTER and SONOBIRDIE suggest TCD reduces new brain infarctions during carotid procedures. The TCD-ICAS trial will investigate whether TCD application during and after CAS reduces perioperative cerebral emboli and improves outcomes.

Mortality Outcome of Controlled Hypertension

This pooled analysis investigates death outcomes in patients with pharmacologically treated and blood pressure-controlled hypertension. Despite documented BP control, some patients still suffer fatal cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, renal, or unexplained syndromes. This study aims to synthesize available evidence across study types to identify treatment pitfalls, contributing syndromes, and non-BP factors associated with these fatal outcomes. February 14th, 2026. Total search hits: 9,297 articles from your hypertension-mortality PubMed strategy Working dataset: 2,547 unique records. Screened so far: 50 (2.0%). Mostly excluded because: Not the right treatment strategy. No mortality outcome. Less often: wrong population.

Study on PAD and CAS Based on Omics and Imaging

This study aims to investigate the pathogenesis of Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) and Carotid Artery Stenosis (CAS) using a comprehensive multi-omics and multi-modal imaging approach. The study will enroll patients diagnosed with PAD or CAS and perform advanced imaging techniques, including NIR-II Imaging, DUS-based V-flow Imaging, and Laser Speckle Imaging, to assess vascular structure and function. Simultaneously, single-cell transcriptomics, metabolomics, lipidomics, and proteomics analyses will be conducted on patient samples to identify key molecular targets and pathways involved in disease progression. Machine learning algorithms will be employed to integrate imaging and multi-omics data, enabling the development of predictive models for more accurate disease diagnosis and stratification. The findings from this study are expected to provide novel insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying PAD and CAS and contribute to the development of personalized therapeutic strategies.
