Inflammation and Diabetes: Evaluating Antioxidant Levels

The goal of this observational, cross-sectional study is to evaluate the relationships between dietary total antioxidant capacity, systemic inflammatory response markers, and nutritional parameters in adult patients with Type 2 Diabetes (T2DM). Participants will be classified into controlled (HbA1c \< %7) and uncontrolled (HbA1c ≥ %7) diabetes groups based on their glycemic control. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does dietary antioxidant capacity affect systemic inflammation levels and metabolic parameters? Is there a relationship between nutritional risk status and inflammatory response in T2DM patients?

Effects of the Dietary Inflammatory Index on Systemic Inflammation Markers and Gastrointestinal Symptoms in Individuals With Bariatric Surgery

The goal of this observational cross-sectional study is to evaluate the relationships between the Dietary Inflammatory Index (DII), systemic inflammatory markers, and gastrointestinal symptoms in adults aged 18-65 who have undergone bariatric surgery. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does the inflammatory potential of the diet affect systemic inflammation levels (such as SII, CRP, and WBC) in the post-operative period? Is there an association between the DII score and gastrointestinal symptoms (e.g., bloating, gas, abdominal pain)? Participants who are at least three months post-bariatric surgery will provide dietary intake data to calculate DII scores, undergo blood tests to measure inflammatory markers, and complete assessments regarding their gastrointestinal symptoms.

Dietary Inflammatory Potential in Young Pleople With Obesity

The increase in adipose tissue in the young population is one of the most important and worrying public health problems because it persists in adulthood, constituting a risk factor for chronic degenerative diseases with social, economic, and environmental effects. The etiology of obesity is multifactorial and is associated with a low-intensity chronic inflammation process. Therefore, side effects of the digestive, nervous, endocrine, and immunological levels are closely related. Thus, understanding the impact of dietary components on the immune response and the pathophysiological complications of obesity will strengthen information on nutritional patterns with lower inflammatory implications.
