NCT07256106

Occlusion and Dis-Occlusion Time in Mandibular Overdentures Supported by Conventional Versus Mini- Dental Implants

The aim of the study will be comparing between the occlusion and disocclusion time in mandibular single overdenture supported with immediately loaded two conventional implants versus immediately loaded four mini-implants. Research question Is there a difference in occlusion and disocclusion time between two mandibular single dentures, one supported by immediately loaded two conventional implants and the second one supported by immediately loaded four mini-implants? Primary outcome: occlusion and disocclusion time Secondary outcome: Kapur index The null hypothesis is that there is no difference between both treatment modalities on occlusion and disocclusion time.

Compare the Difference in Occlusal Force Distribution and Denture Retention Using 2 Different Denture Base Materials in Implant Retained Overdenture

The global increase in the aging population has led to a rise in total edentulism, which remains a major public health concern. two-implant-retained mandibular overdentures have been regarded as the standard of care, offering superior retention, stability, comfort, and masticatory efficiency compared to conventional dentures. Among available attachment systems-bar, ball, stud, and magnet-the Equator attachment has gained popularity due to its low vertical profile, suitability for limited inter-occlusal space, and ease of handling. Assessment of masticatory performance and occlusal balance can be objectively measured using devices such as bite force analyzers and the computerized T-Scan system, which quantifies occlusion and disocclusion times. Conventional heat-cured polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) remains the most widely used denture base material; however, it has mechanical and biological limitations. Flexible denture base materials have been introduced to overcome these drawbacks by enhancing adaptation, distributing occlusal loads more evenly, and improving comfort and retention.

Changes in Microbial Status From Dentate, Edentulous and After Dental Implant Placement

The objectives of this study are to analyze the oral microbiome modulations occurring during the transition from partial (with some residual teeth) to full edentulous (without remaining teeth) status and implant placement in subjects affected by severe periodontitis; to evaluate if microbiome changes in relation to the used of different implant material/surface; and to assess the variance of the changes to determine the sample size for future longitudinal prospective studies.

Effectiveness of 3D-printed Patient-specific Resorbable Scaffolds for Maxillary Bone Regeneration

The objective of this study is to test the bone formation capacity of a 3D printed scaffold with a plastic material called Polycaprolactone (PCL), compared to the use of synthetic bone grafts, for bone formation in the maxilla or mandible of elderly patients in the city of Valdivia between the years 2023-2024. The main beneficiaries will be patients, users of the public or private health system, who require bone regeneration. The intermediate beneficiaries are the health team: doctors specializing in surgery and orthopedics, dentists, maxillofacial surgeons, dedicated to bone reconstruction and regeneration. The innovation of this new material is based on the provision of a biocompatible plastic, easy to handle, for domestic 3D printing of bone matrices that can be grafted in areas requiring bone regeneration.

Using Two Different Attachments in Mandibular Implant Overdenture Cases in Order to Retention and Patient Satisfaction

The Goal of the clinical trail is to evaluate the efficacy of Bar- OT Equator attachment on retention and patient satisfaction in comparison to the standard technique using Bar- clip attachment. Patients will visit the clinic after the surgery and after the attachment insertion for check ups and during the follow up periods ( at denture insertion, 3 months and 6 months)

Evaluation of Bone Changes Around Implants in Patients Treated With All on Four

The Goal of the clinical trail is to evaluate the Bone height changes around two axially placed anterior implants and two distally inclined 30-degree angle posterior implants in comparison to two axially placed anterior implants and two distally inclined 45-degree angle posterior implants using cone beam CT (CBCT). Patients will visit the clinic after the surgery and after the framework and denture insertion for check ups and during the follow up periods ( at denture insertion, 6 months and 12 months)

Clinical and Anatomical Factors Influencing Accuracy in Fully Guided Implant Placement.

The importance of the stability of hard and soft tissues has been shown to be of paramount importance for long-term implant success. To reach optimal functional and aesthetic outcomes, implant placement must be planned accordingly to prosthetic needs and design. Prosthetically driven implant placement is based on a diagnostic prosthetic set-up that is followed by precise implant planification and placement using CBCT and intraoral scanning. The aim of this research is to evaluate how the clinical and anatomical factors can influence the 3D position of guided surgery.

Accuracy Evaluation of Implant Impressions: A Prospective Study

The aims of this clinical study are: 1) to compare the accuracy of conventional versus digital impression techniques for implant impressions; 2) to assess the passive fit of the prosthesis constructed from the most accurate impression. Thirty edentulous patients who received 4 - 6 implant and indicated for implant-supported fixed prosthesis will be invited. Full-arch conventional and digital impressions will be made for each patient. Accuracy evaluation will be made and the prosthesis will be constructed from the most accurate impression. Passive fit of the zirconia implant-supported prostheses will be verified at the try-in stage clinically and radiographically.

In Vivo Clinical Investigation of the Safety and Performance of Dental Implants TBR® Tissue Level Z1

Partial or total edentulousness has a significant impact on quality of life both functionally and aesthetically. TBR® Tissue Level Z1 Implants allow the patient to prevent bone resorption and maintain facial tissue and musculature support. At the functional level, the patient who benefits from implant treatment regains normal masticatory function with all the benefits on the quality of life that this can bring him. Due to the osseointegration of the implant and the biocompatibility of the materials used, the implant treatment remains effective in the long term and makes it possible to maintain the aesthetics of the smile.

Complete Lower Dentures on 1 or 2 Implants

This study is a randomized clinical trial to compare patient satisfaction and prosthetic outcomes with lower dentures retained by one or two implants. The investigators long-term objective is to establish evidence of the cost-effectiveness of a single implant intervention for improving tolerance to complete dentures. The investigators MAIN AIM will be to investigate patient satisfaction between and within groups with mandibular dentures retained by one or two implants over five years, and SECONDARILY to investigate the survival of implants, and the frequency of events to maintain the dentures and prosthetic attachments as clinically serviceable. Furthermore, multivariate analysis can assess the prediction of patient satisfaction with implant dentures based on various possible factors including age, health, demography and socioeconomic status, number of implants, and maintenance needs. Patient satisfaction will be measured by means of Visual Analogue Scales (VAS) including a measure of overall satisfaction and various specific aspects of satisfaction such as appearance, stability and comfort of the dentures. The CENTRAL HYPOTHESIS is that mandibular complete dentures retained by single implants are at least as satisfying to patients over a five years period as those retained by two implants for the same period. The SECONDARY HYPOTHESES are that: i) there is no difference over five years between groups in the survival of original implants, or in the number of events for maintenance of the dentures or implant attachments; and ii) using each treatment group as it's own control, there is no change in patient satisfaction with lower dentures retained by either one or two implants during the five year loading period.
