Immediate Effects of PETTLEP-Based AOMI on Upper Limb Kinematics in Stroke Survivors
The purpose of this study is to investigate the immediate effects of a mental practice technique, called Physical, Environment, Task, Timing, Learning, Emotion, Perspective (PETTLEP)-based Action Observation and Motor Imagery (AOMI), on arm movement in stroke survivors. Stroke often causes difficulty in moving the arm smoothly, leading patients to compensate by using their back or shoulder. In this study, participants will either receive a single session of the AOMI training (watching and mentally practicing a reach-to-grasp movement) or a control relaxation task. The researchers will use a smartphone-based motion capture system (OpenCap) to measure if the mental practice immediately improves the smoothness of the arm movement and reduces compensatory body movements.

Effect of Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation on Post-stroke Patients
The subjects will be asked to attend minimum 15 separate sessions, 6 for testing changes in reflex behaviors, 3 for testing changes in the influence of descending motor tracts on spinal motor neurons, 3 for each testing functional movement in response to a trip event and cross-tilt walking adaptation pattern, as part of their participation in the research study. The estimated amount of time to enroll and collect the data for each of the subjects is four months' time. The data will be analyzed and ready for grant preparation (if successful) in approximately four months after the start of the study.

The Effect of Virtual Reality Therapy on Upper Extremity Functions in Subacute Stroke Patients Receiving Rehabilitation
Stroke ranks second among the leading causes of death worldwide and third among the causes of disability. In stroke patients, motor impairment typically affects facial movements and the upper and lower extremities unilaterally. Upper extremity involvement, in particular, negatively impacts patients' activities of daily living, such as eating and dressing. Various rehabilitation methods are used to improve the function of the paretic upper extremity in stroke patients. Action Observation Therapy and Virtual Reality are among the rehabilitation approaches currently used to support upper extremity rehabilitation. In our study, patients will be randomly divided into two groups: one group will receive conventional rehabilitation and Action Observation Therapy, while the other group will additionally receive Virtual Reality therapy. This study aims to investigate the contribution of Virtual Reality therapy, when added to conventional rehabilitation and Action Observation Therapy, to the recovery of the paretic upper extremity in patients with subacute stroke.

Prospective Evaluation of Atrial Fibrillation-Related Stroke Patients in Rehabilitation Program (PEARL), an Observational Cohort Study
The goal of this observational study is to determine if rehabilitation program intensity impacts functional recovery and specific needs in adult ischemic stroke patients who require inpatient rehabilitation. The main questions it aims to answer are: Do patients with stroke of Atrial-related subtypes (AFRS) have distinct rehabilitation needs and functional outcomes compared to non-AFRS patients? Does higher-intensity inpatient rehabilitation (3-5 sessions/day) result in better functional recovery at six months (measured by the Barthel Index) than moderate-intensity programs (1 session/day)? The study is non-invasive, does not interfere with usual care. The investigators' ultimate goal is to enhance the understanding of recovery after following different rehabilitation usual programs.
