Natural History of Thyroid Function Disorders
Participants in this study will be patients diagnosed with or suspected to have a thyroid function disorder. These conditions may include: hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, thyroid hormone resistance, Graves' Dermopathy, and thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) secreting pituitary adenomas. The main purpose of this study is to further understand the natural history, clinical presentation, and genetics of thyroid function disorders. Many of the tests performed are in the context of standard medical care that is offered to all patients with thyroid function disorders. In addition, blood and tissue samples may be taken for research and genetic studies.

Development of a Non-Invasive Prognostic Test for Graves Orbitopathy
The aim of this research project is to develop a non-invasive, simple, robust, and sensitive prognostic test that can identify hyperthyroidism patients who are at risk of developing Graves' Orbitopathy. This phase of the study is a research phase in which we analyze blood samples and tear fluid using standard laboratory equipment and software. The aim is to identify biomarkers that can detect patients at risk of developing Graves' Orbitopathy. Offering more personalized advice, treatment, and follow-up could potentially prevent the clinical consequences or limit their severity.

A Brief Video Intervention to Improve Patient Outcomes Following Radioiodine Treatment
This study will test the impact of a short video intervention for people who are receiving radioiodine treatment for thyroid conditions (such as hyperthyroidism or thyroid cancer). After their single-dose treatment, patients need to follow safety instructions to protect others and manage side effects during recovery. Some people find these instructions hard to remember, and side effects (or anticipation of side effects) can feel worrying or disruptive. The video aims to present the treatment information in a more accessible patient-friendly way, so that patients feel less distressed, find their side effects easier to cope with, and better engage with safety precautions. All patients will first have a pre-treatment consultation with their doctor and receive the standard treatment information currently provided. Before this consultation patients will be randomly assigned to view one of two videos. The control group will see a neutral video that details standard health information that is not specific to radioiodine, while the intervention group will see a video that explains side effects, safety requirements and recovery period in a more adaptive way. Comparing these two groups will allow us to assess whether this new approach improves coping, reduces distress, and enhances adherence to safety instructions in the post-dose recovery phase of radioiodine treatment.

Impact of Vitamin D Therapy on Thyroid Function and Antibody Levels in Pediatric Graves' Disease
The goal of this randomized pilot feasibility clinical trial is to determine the feasibility of implementing a protocol for a larger trial to assess the effects of high-dose vitamin D supplementation in pediatric patients (9-17 years old) newly diagnosed with Graves' disease. The main questions it aims to answer are: What are the recruitment and adherence rates for a larger trial using this protocol? Is the data collection process complete and robust enough for a larger trial? What are the potential barriers to implementing a larger-scale trial? Researchers will compare vitamin D supplementation plus standard methimazole therapy to methimazole therapy alone (with participants permitted to take up to 1000 International Units of vitamin D2 daily) to explore potential effects on thyroid hormone and antibody levels. Participants will: Be randomized to either the intervention or control group. Take study medications (vitamin D or placebo) as directed. Attend regular study visits for blood tests and clinical assessments. Complete medication logs.

Pressure-enabled Retrograde Occlusive Therapy With Embolization for Control of Thyroid Disease (PROTECT Registry): A Multicenter Registry
Multi-center registry study to evaluate disease-related quality of life outcomes of thyroid embolization via pressure-enabled delivery (PED-TAE). Additional technical success data on parenchymal volume reduction, thyroid function tests changes and post-procedural complications will be recorded. Data will be collected for patients who have undergone PED-TAE using the TriNav Infusion System at participating sites. The registry study will include up to 10 sites, with Sarasota Memorial Health Care System acting as the lead site responsible for maintaining and monitoring the study database.

Assessment of THL and Potential Risk of Hypothyroidism in Healthcare Workers Exposed to Low-dose Ionizing Radiation
"This study is designed to evaluate the thyroid health of healthcare workers exposed to low-dose ionizing radiation at INMOL Cancer Hospital, Lahore. Specifically, it investigates whether prolonged occupational exposure in radiology and nuclear medicine departments is associated with altered thyroid hormone levels or an increased risk of hypothyroidism. The thyroid gland is highly sensitive to radiation, and existing literature suggests a possible link between occupational exposure and thyroid dysfunction.

A Clinical Study of Hyperthyroidism in Children
This study intends to conduct a retrospective and prospective study on children with hyperthyroidism, and it is a non-intervention study to collect information on diagnosis and treatment and long-term follow-up of children with hyperthyroidism. To investigate the clinical characteristics, treatment effect, side effects and remission of hyperthyroidism in children, to analyze the predictive factors for the effect of antithyroid drug treatment, remission and recurrence after drug withdrawal, and to explore the risk factors related to the occurrence of antithyroid drug-related adverse reactions.

Iodine Supplementation in Graves' Hyperthyroidism
In China, the morbidity of thyroid diseases is high and the harm is serious. Iodine is closely related to thyroid diseases. It should be paid attention to guide patients to supplement iodine scientifically. Thyroid iodine uptake in hyperthyroidism patients is enhanced, and patients are generally advised to limit iodine intake in clinical practice. However, recent studies suggest that there is no definite conclusion on whether patients with hyperthyroidism should strictly limit iodine intake. The purpose of this study is to establish a national multi-center iodine intervention cohort for patients with Graves' hyperthyroidism, identify the effects of different iodine intake on hyperthyroidism, and establish iodine intervention program for hyperthyroidism. This study is a multicenter, prospective, open-level, randomized, controlled, parallel group clinical trial with a total sample size of 315 cases, a total of 3 participating units, each of which completed 105 cases. All subjects meeting the inclusion criteria were completely randomized in each center according to the random procedure with a probability of 1:1:1: ① Iodine Supplementation in Whole Course of Treatment with ATDs; ② Iodine Supplementation During Maintenance Treatment with ATDs; ③ Iodine Restriction in Whole Course of Treatment with ATDs. Information was collected before ATD treatment, at 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months (withdrawal), 6 months and 12 months after ATDs withdrawal. The primary purpose of this study is to analyze the difference in remission rate of hyperthyroidism between different iodine nutritional interventions. At the same time, the differences of duration from initiation to withdrawal of ATDs, duration from initiation of ATDs to thyroid function (including serum FT3, FT4 and TSH) normalization, duration from initiation of ATDs to serum FT3 and FT4 normalization, quality of life (QOL) in patients with Graves' hyperthyroidism, adverse effects rate of ATDs treatment, duration from initiation of ATDs to serum negative TRAb is first measured were observed.

Efficacy and Safety of Catheter Ablation of Atrial Fibrillation in Patients With Thyroid Hormone Stabilization
Patients with hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism are often combined with atrial fibrillation, but after the stabilization of thyroid hormone levels after treatment, the patients' atrial fibrillation still persists. Radiofrequency ablation of the atrial fibrillation as one of the treatment options for atrial fibrillation has been widely used in the clinic, and has significant efficacy in maintaining sinus rhythm, improving cardiac function, and improving the prognosis of patients. However, there is a lack of clinical monitoring data on radiofrequency ablation of atrial fibrillation in patients who have combined thyroid dysfunction and have stabilized their thyroid hormone levels after treatment.
