Oral Hyoscine vs Lidocaine-Prilocaine Spray vs Placebo for HSG Pain Relief

This single-centre, three-arm, randomised, double-blind, double-dummy, placebo-controlled trial evaluated the efficacy and safety of oral hyoscine butylbromide, topical lidocaine-prilocaine spray and placebo for reducing pain during hysterosalpingography in women with primary infertility. Pain was self-rated using an 11-point numerical rating scale at predefined procedural time points, including cervical instrumentation and uterine filling.

Clinical Trial on the Methodology of Hysterosalpingography: a Comparative Study

Different techniques have been developed to optimize hysterosalpingography (HSG) methodology. Our aim is to compare the advantages and disadvantages of these three different techniques in terms of both patient satisfaction and clinician's interpretation. The medical records of the patients who are treated in our hospital between 2020 and 2022 are investigated based on the eligibility criteria.

Lipiodol Prior to FET (LIFE)

Lipiodol® flushing is an effective fertility treatment for women with unexplained infertility. It is speculated that the treatment effect could work through a direct effect of Lipiodol® on the endometrium. Given this direct effect on the endometrium, it is further hypothesized that Lipiodol® uterine treatment prior to In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)/ Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) may also improve pregnancy rates. However, the effectiveness of Lipiodol® as an adjunct to IVF/ICSI treatment has not previously been examined in a well-powered and properly conducted randomised clinical trial.
