Investigation of The Effect of Video-Assisted Laughter Yoga
This study is planned to examine the effect of video-assisted laughter yoga on pain and menstrual symptoms among students studying at a university in Türkiye. Data will be collected at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Konya Karatay University, between November 2025 and April 2026. The study population will consist of students aged 18 to 24 years studying at the Faculty of Health Sciences during the specified period. The sample size was calculated using the G Power computer program. Using a power analysis at the α=0.05 level, the effect size was calculated as 150, 153 (d=0.8), and the working power was calculated as 90%, indicating that at least 68 students should be included in the sample. Students meeting the research criteria and agreeing to participate in the study will be randomly assigned to an experimental group and a control group. The socio-demographic data of the students in the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Visual Analog Scale to assess students' pain, and the Menstrual Symptom Scale to measure menstrual symptoms, prepared by the researcher in accordance with the literature, will be used.

The Effect of Laughter Yoga Practice in Hypertension Patients
Hypertension (HT), which is defined as an arterial blood pressure higher than 140/90 mmHg, is an important health problem because it causes serious complications and is commonly seen in the community. Laughter as an expression of humour has been accepted as a good medicine for centuries. It is also one of the practices used in nursing care according to the Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC). Laughter yoga developed by Dr. Madan Kataria, an Indian medical doctor, in 1995 includes deep breathing exercises, meditation, childish games and laughter without humour. In practice, individual sessions as well as group sessions can be held. It is important to form groups of at least 5 people in terms of the dynamics of the group. The first stage in laughter yoga is warm-up exercises. Hands are clapped parallel to each other, acupuncture points are stimulated by stimulating the fingertips and palms as clapping is performed, and a vocal rhythm in the form of ho, ho, ha-ha-ha is added to the last clapping movement. In the second stage, breathing exercises, the participants raise their arms to the sky as if praying, inhale and hold their breath for 4-5 seconds after deep inspiration and exhale rhythmically and slowly. The third stage includes childish games. The last stage is the stage of laughter exercises in which unreasonable laughter is thrown by imagining situations as if they did not exist. These exercises include milkshake laughter exercises, lion laughter, hot soup laughter, hugging laughter, bird laughter, etc. It is recommended that each session should be at least 20 minutes and should be applied for at least 8 weeks. At the end of the session, individuals are provided to relax by meditation. The aim of this thesis study; * Developing the Laughter Yoga Satisfaction Scale and * To investigate the effect of laughter yoga practice on anxiety, sleep quality, treatment compliance and satisfaction in hypertension patients. Hypotheses of the study H1-1: Laughter Yoga Satisfaction Scale is a valid scale. H2-1: Laughter Yoga Satisfaction Scale is a reliable scale. H3-1: Laughter yoga reduces the anxiety level of hypertension patients. H4-1: Laughter yoga improves the sleep quality of hypertension patients. H5-1: Laughter yoga increases the level of compliance with treatment in hypertension patients. H6-1: Hypertension patients have a high level of satisfaction with laughter yoga. H7-1: Laughter yoga has positive effects on vital signs of hypertension patients.

The Effect of Health Education Based Laughter Yoga Applied to Adolescents on Stress and Digital Gaming Habits
Adolescents may turn to digital games as a coping mechanism for stress, which can lead to addiction and various health problems. School-based health education and laughter yoga are promising interventions for reducing stress and promoting healthy behaviors. This randomized controlled trial with a Solomon four-group design aims to evaluate the effects of health education and laughter yoga on stress levels and digital game habits among adolescents. Study Hypotheses: H0-1: Health education and laughter yoga have no effect on adolescent stress. H1-1: Health education and laughter yoga reduce adolescent stress. H0-2: Health education and laughter yoga do not affect digital game habits. H1-2: Health education and laughter yoga reduce digital game habits.

The Effect of Laughter Yoga on Pain, Fatigue, and General Well-Being in Cancer Patients and Their Caregivers
This study aims to evaluate the effect of laughter yoga on pain, fatigue, and general well-being in cancer patients and their caregivers. Participants will be randomly assigned to either a laughter yoga intervention group or a control group. The intervention group will receive six sessions of laughter yoga over two weeks. Laughter Yoga Intervention in Patients on Haemodialysis
This study was planned as a randomized controlled experimental type and pre-test-post-test design in order to examine the effects of laughter yoga applied to hemodialysis patients on the happiness and mental well-being levels of the patients and on blood pressure. The universe of the study will be patients receiving hemodialysis treatment at Fethiye Özel Can Dialysis Center (N=184) and the sample will be a total of 72 patients, consisting of the experimental group (n=36) and the control group (n=36). After obtaining the permission of the ethics committee and institution, the data will be collected face to face by the researchers before and after the laughter yoga to be applied to hemodialysis patients receiving treatment at Fethiye Özel Can Dialysis Center and who agreed to participate in the study. In the collection of data; Introductory Information Form (TBF), Warwick-Edinburgh Mentai Well-Being Scale (WEMİOÖ), Oxford Happiness Scale (OMÖ) and blood pressure measurements of the patients will be used. IBM SPSS 25.0 package program will be used to evaluate the data.

An Intervention-Based Approach to Strengthen the Psychological Health of Children With Cystic Fibrosis and Their Mothers
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-threatening exocrine gland disease that is often diagnosed in childhood, and its incidence tends to increase and affect physical and mental health.The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the Intervention Program Based on Strengthening the Psychological Resilience of Children Diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis and Their Mothers, prepared for children with CF (8-12 years old) and their mothers.In the first stage, the CF experiences of children with cystic fibrosis and how they perceive these experiences will be examined with visual phenomenology, and their mothers' CF experiences and perceptions will be examined with phenomenology. In this regard, 10 children will be asked to draw pictures and their pictures will be analyzed. In-depth individual interviews will be held with mothers.In the 2nd stage, the effectiveness of the Intervention Program Based on Strengthening Psychological Resilience for Children Diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis and Their Mothers will be determined with a pre-test-post-test randomized controlled experimental design.In the literature review, Gpower analysis was performed (α: 0.05, β: 0.99, d: 1.88) based on the results of studies conducted with children diagnosed with CF and their parents, similar to this study, and 15 samples were used for each group. It is planned to recruit people. Considering the possibility of data loss in the study, it was always deemed appropriate to include 22 people for the group. It was planned to sample a total of 88 children with CF and their mothers, 44 in the intervention group and 44 in the control group. In the 3rd stage, after the experiment, the participants' experiences regarding the intervention program will be examined through interviews and qualitative research method. Thus, qualitative interviews will be conducted before and after the experiment. Data will be collected using these tools: Children; Child and Mother Descriptive Characteristics Form, Semi-Structured Interview Form,Respiratory Function Test, Reorganized Cystic Fibrosis Questionnaire, Psychological Resilience Attitude and Skills Scale and Functional Disability Inventory; Mothers; The Revised Cystic Fibrosis Questionnaire, The Depression Anxiety and Stress Scale, Post-Traumatic Growth Scale and Brief Psychological Resilience Scale. Measurements will be taken before the intervention, after the intervention, at the 1st and 3rd months.

The Effect of Laughter Yoga on Hope and Well-Being Levels of Earthquake Victim Mothers
In Turkey, on February 6, 2023, an earthquake measuring 7.7 in magnitude centered in the Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş Province, followed by a second earthquake measuring 7.6 in magnitude centered in Elbistan, caused the deaths of 50,783 people in the provinces of Kahramanmaraş, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır, Adana, Adıyaman, Osmaniye, Hatay, Kilis, Malatya and Elazığ. The magnitude of the cost impact of the 2023 Kahramanmaraş earthquake, which is described as the "disaster of the century" and calculated as 103.6 billion dollars, is as disturbing as the devastating effect of the disaster on individuals' levels of hope and well-being. In line with previous studies, the high probability that socio-psychological effects will continue for a long time after the February 6, 2023 earthquakes necessitates physical and mental self-care activities to support the health and well-being of those affected by the disaster. In order for the child's first teacher and guide to be his/her mother and for the widespread impact of our project to reach a wider audience directly and indirectly, the project will address the suitability of laughter yoga as a relaxing practice that will benefit earthquake-stricken mothers living in the provinces of Elazığ and Malatya, which were affected by the 2023 Kahramanmaraş Earthquakes. Laughter yoga, which has become increasingly popular worldwide and has recently been recognized as a low-cost, risk-free and less time-consuming practice for improving mental health, is a group-based laughter exercise that includes real-life laughter, light movement, stretching, rhythmic breathing and meditation. When articles evaluating the psychological and physiological effects of laughter yoga on individuals are examined, it is observed that promising results are obtained. A recent meta-analysis of 45 interventions that encourage laughter with 2,500 randomized participants found significant positive mental and physical health effects. Although challenging, laughing when sad can be "a great way to balance sadness." Hope is considered as a situation that includes the individual's high positive expectations for the future, their belief in the world, and the idea that life is worth living. High hope also has a positive effect on coping with traumatic experiences. It is known that individuals' well-being decreases as a result of traumatic life events and that they have difficulty coping with the current situation. In a study conducted on 188 adults who experienced the earthquake that occurred in the Pazarcık and Elbistan districts of Kahramanmaraş on February 6, 2023, it was pointed out that having positive resources such as hope and well-being is important for individuals to cope with post-traumatic symptoms. Although laughter yoga is expected to support hope and well-being, no study has revealed this relationship after a disaster. Therefore, evidence-based studies are needed to evaluate the effect of laughter yoga on hope and well-being in mothers, who are important building blocks of society after an earthquake. The aim of this study is to clarify the relationship between hope and well-being and laughter yoga after the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes.

The Effect of Laughter Yoga-Supported Strong Woman, Safe Life Training Program on Attitudes Towards Violence, Styles of Coping with Stress and Psychological Flexibility
The aim of this project is to examine the effects of the Laughter Yoga Supported Strong Woman, Safe Life Education Program applied to women on attitudes towards violence, stress coping styles and psychological flexibility. The problem of violence against women is a public health problem that affects and concerns not only women at the individual level, but also children, all family members and therefore society. According to the data of the Turkish Statistical Institute in our country, 38% of women have been subjected to spousal or partner violence at some point in their lives. Violence or the threat of violence that causes fear, pain and anxiety in women from an individual perspective; constitutes an obstacle to women's more active and productive participation in economic and social life, especially in the private sphere. From a social perspective, the economic cost of violence against women is extremely high in terms of loss of working hours and wages, social services, legal and medical expenses. Our country has a culturally patriarchal social structure. Living in a patriarchal order affects beliefs and attitudes towards the acceptance of violence, making women more vulnerable to violence. When the reasons for submissive behaviors towards violence are examined, it is stated that factors such as having children, low self-esteem, religious beliefs, social pressure, emotional attachment to a long-term relationship, running away from home, arranged marriage, being economically dependent on the spouse and low level of education are effective. Accepting violence encourages aggression and causes violent people to legitimize their actions. It is stated that submissive and accepting attitudes towards violence can be changed. Interventions aimed at empowering women play an important role in reducing attitudes accepting violence. It is anticipated that this project will create an opportunity for women to raise awareness about violence and change their accepting attitudes towards violence. The proposed project consists of THREE stages. The first stage, PREPARATION stage; includes preparation of data collection tools, determination and informing of scholarship recipients, development of training content and tools, preliminary application and determination of the working group. The second stage is the IMPLEMENTATION stage, which includes collecting pre-test data, loading public transportation fees onto participants' cards for transportation, providing training to the intervention group, and collecting post-test data. The third stage is the MONITORING-EVALUATION stage, which is the stage of collecting follow-up test data and conducting analyses. The research will be conducted as a randomized controlled parallel group intervention study. The universe of the research will consist of 7988 women registered in 24 Women's Education and Culture Centers (KEKM) affiliated with Altındağ Municipality. 1 center will be randomly selected from 24 Women's Education and Culture Centers for the sample of the research. In this study, the smallest sample size was determined as 43 for each group, totaling 86, at 80% statistical power and α=.05 significance level. Considering the 10% data loss in the determined sample size, it was planned to include a total of 94 participants, 47 for each group. The assignment of the women included in the research to the intervention (47 participants) and control (47 participants) groups will be done by randomization method. The aim is to implement the Laughter Yoga Supported Strong Woman, Safe Life Training Program face-to-face for an 8-week period for the participants in the intervention group. The 47 participants in the intervention group will be divided into 3 separate groups (16 participants, 16 participants and 15 participants) to increase interaction and experience sharing. The project team will implement the Laughter Yoga Supported Strong Woman, Safe Life Training Program consisting of 8 modules to 3 separate groups. The intervention group will be given a pre-test before the training, a post-test after the training and a follow-up test 1 month after the training is completed. It is planned to collect data by conducting a pre-test, post-test and follow-up test simultaneously with the experimental group without any intervention for the control group. Data will be collected using the Attitude Towards Violence in Close Relationships Scale, the Psychological Flexibility Scale and the Styles of Coping with Stress Scale. Institutional permission will be obtained from the Ankara University Ethics Committee and the Altındağ Municipality. In this project, with the "Strong Woman, Safe Life Training Program Supported by Laughter Yoga", women will be provided with training on the Importance of Self-Knowledge and Communication, Stress and Coping Techniques, Gender, Empowerment

The Effect of Laughter Yoga Practiced After Burn Dressing
Burn is a serious trauma that causes acute damage to the skin and subcutaneous tissues due to the effect of heat, electricity, radiation, physical, and chemical substances. Research shows a relationship between burn dressing changes and increased pain, anxiety, and stress. It can also be said that anxiety negatively affects wound healing. This study aimed to determine the effect of Laughter Yoga, a non-drug method, on reducing or completely eliminating pain and anxiety after burn dressing and increasing the level of mental well-being. This study is planned to be conducted in a randomized manner.
