Pembrolizumab in Treating Participants With Leukoplakia

This phase II pilot trial studies how well pembrolizumab works in treating leukoplakia. Monoclonal antibodies, such as pembrolizumab, may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread.

Vitamin A Status in Patients With Vocal Fold Leukoplakia

This study will determine systemic vitamin A status and lesion histopathology of participants with vocal fold hyperkeratosis resulting in clinical leukoplakia.

AI-Assisted Endoscopy for Upper Aerodigestive Tract Lesions

This is a prospective observational clinical study designed to evaluate the performance of artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms applied to upper aerodigestive tract (UADT) video-endoscopy. The study assesses three main tasks: lesion detection (localization), classification (benign vs malignant), and segmentation of tumor margins. AI algorithms will be applied to endoscopic video data acquired during routine clinical practice without influencing clinical decision-making. The system will process images in real time and store data for subsequent analysis. AI outputs will be compared with physician assessment and reference standard histopathology to evaluate diagnostic performance.

Topical Imiquimod Treatment of Oral Dysplasia

The goal of this clinical trial is to determine the effectiveness of imiquimod in treating oral dysplasia in adult patients. Imiquimod 5% cream could be a safe and practical treatment for oral epithelial dysplasia (a precancerous change in the mouth). The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Does imiquimod help to make the lesions smaller and make the abnormal cell changes less severe? 2. How can we make this treatment safer and more feasible? Participants will apply topical imiquimod cream to treat the oral dysplasia and receive two follow-up biopsies after the treatment.
