Nivolumab and Ipilimumab in Treating Patients With Rare Tumors
This phase II trial studies nivolumab and ipilimumab in treating patients with rare tumors. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab and ipilimumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. This trial enrolls participants for the following cohorts based on condition: 1. Epithelial tumors of nasal cavity, sinuses, nasopharynx: A) Squamous cell carcinoma with variants of nasal cavity, sinuses, and nasopharynx and trachea (excluding laryngeal, nasopharyngeal cancer \[NPC\], and squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck \[SCCHN\]) B) Adenocarcinoma and variants of nasal cavity, sinuses, and nasopharynx (closed to accrual 07/27/2018) 2. Epithelial tumors of major salivary glands (closed to accrual 03/20/2018) 3. Salivary gland type tumors of head and neck, lip, esophagus, stomach, trachea and lung, breast and other location (closed to accrual) 4. Undifferentiated carcinoma of gastrointestinal (GI) tract 5. Adenocarcinoma with variants of small intestine (closed to accrual 05/10/2018) 6. This study collects blood samples, medical information, and medical images from patients who are being treated for cancer and have a positive test for SARS CoV-2, the new coronavirus that causes the disease called COVID-19. Studying the Workflow of the American College of Surgeons Geriatric Surgery Program to Improve Clinical Outcomes in Older Adults Undergoing Surgery at the James Cancer Hospital
This study examines how the American College of Surgeons Geriatric Surgery Verification Program, also called the ACS GSV Program, is implemented at the James Cancer Hospital. The program is designed to improve surgical care for adults age 65 and older by helping care teams identify and address age-related needs before, during, and after surgery. Older adults with cancer may have concerns related to physical function, memory or thinking, medications, social support, and goals of care. If these needs are not recognized, patients may be at higher risk for complications, longer hospital stays, readmission, or discharge to a facility instead of home. The ACS GSV Program includes standards for geriatric surgery leadership, goals-of-care discussions, screening for age-related vulnerabilities, care plans for identified needs, age-friendly perioperative care, and regular review of surgical outcomes. This study will evaluate how well these standards are adopted across surgical oncology services and whether implementation is associated with better outcomes, such as shorter hospital stays, fewer complications, fewer readmissions, and improved discharge outcomes. The results may help improve surgical care workflows for older adults undergoing cancer surgery.

Testing Trastuzumab and Pertuzumab in Patients With Higher Than Normal Copies of the HER2 Gene Found in Their Tumors (MATCH - Subprotocol J)
This phase II MATCH treatment trial tests how well trastuzumab and pertuzumab work in treating patients with HER2-amplified non-breast, non-gastric/gastroesophageal junction, and non-colorectal cancers. Pertuzumab and trastuzumab are monoclonal antibodies and forms of targeted therapy that attach to a receptor protein called HER2. HER2 is found on some cancer cells. When pertuzumab or trastuzumab attach to HER2, the signals that tell the cells to grow are blocked and the tumor cell may be marked for destruction by the body's immune system. Trastuzumab is approved for the treatment of certain types of HER2-amplified cancers such as breast and gastric cancers. Research has shown that treatment with two anti-HER2 therapies in combination may be more effective at treating HER2-positive patients than giving one anti-HER2 therapy alone. Giving trastuzumab and pertuzumab in combination may be effective at treating patients with HER2-amplified cancers that aren't breast, gastric, or colorectal.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Compassion-Based Virtual Group Therapy to Improve Psychological Wellbeing in Patients With Cancer
This clinical trial tests how well acceptance and commitment therapy and compassion based virtual group therapy works to improve psychological wellbeing, such as compassion, understanding, and flexibility, in patients with cancer. Receiving a cancer diagnosis, undergoing cancer treatment, and living with cancer- or treatment-related symptoms have often been found to be associated with elevated distress and decreased quality of life for individuals, even when the disease is stable or in remission. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) has demonstrated considerable benefits on individuals' quality of life, psychological flexibility, and amelioration of psychological distress following a cancer diagnosis and in the face of uncertainty, loss, and challenges associated with cancer.

Testing the Use of Neratinib or the Combination of Neratinib and Palbociclib Targeted Treatment for HER2+ Solid Tumors (A ComboMATCH Treatment Trial)
This phase II ComboMATCH treatment trial compares the effect of neratinib to the combination of neratinib and palbociclib in treating patients with HER2 positive solid tumors. Neratinib and palbociclib are in a class of medications called kinase inhibitors. They work by blocking the action of an abnormal protein that signals cancer cells to multiply. This helps slow or stop the spread of tumor cells. Giving neratinib and palbociclib in combination may shrink or stabilize cancers that over-express a specific biomarker called HER2.

Evaluating the Effects of Propionate and Butyrate Supplementation on the Intestinal Health of Healthy Volunteers
This clinical trial evaluates how propionate and butyrate supplementation alters intestinal health in healthy volunteers and whether it would be feasible to administer these supplements to patients undergoing allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant in the future. Propionate and butyrate are short chain fatty acids naturally produced in the intestines during the fermentation of dietary fibers. Greater levels of propionate and butyrate may improve intestinal barrier function, and propionate specifically has been shown to modulate immunity, energy metabolism, and gut-brain communication. The protective effects of propionate and butyrate supplementation on intestinal health may be especially beneficial for patients undergoing donor stem cell transplant, as these patients can experience significant gastrointestinal injury during treatment. The results of this study may help researchers determine whether propionate and butyrate supplementation positively alters the gut microbiome and whether or not supplementation could be used in the future for patients undergoing a donor stem cell transplant.

Precision Performance Status Compared With ECOG Performance Status
This study compares consumer movement trackers to the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) Performance Status (PS) in monitoring cancer patient movement. The ECOG PS emphasizes a patient's ambulatory status (ability to walk around), and scores patients on a scale of 0-5: 0 (no restrictions), 1 (ambulatory), 2 (\< 50% of hours spent in bed, unable to carry out work activities), 3 (\> 50% of hours spent in bed, limited in self care), 4 (bedbound and gravely disabled) and 5 (deceased). Accurate assessment of a patient's PS is paramount in informing therapeutic decision-making, whether it be to predict response and tolerability to treatment or determine eligibility for clinical trials. However, the ECOG PS scale is observational, and therefore limited in its precision. Information gained in this study may help researchers learn if there is a better way to assess patient movement with computerized analysis tools using movement trackers.

Transportation for Cancer Care Navigation Tool for Reducing Travel Barriers Among Patients With Solid Tumors Receiving Radiation Therapy
This clinical trial evaluates whether the Transportation for Cancer Care Navigation Tool (TRACT) can reduce travel barriers among patients with solid tumors receiving radiation therapy. It is estimated that 20-30% patients with cancer experience travel-related barriers for cancer care. This is a particular problem for patients with radiation therapy as these patients frequently receive multiple treatment cycles, which often require daily treatment for multiple weeks or months. Addressing travel barriers has been a prerequisite for cancer care as travel barriers negatively influence cancer treatment adherence and cancer care outcomes, such as survival and quality of life. The TRACT program may help reduce travel barriers and therefore promote health equity among patients with solid tumors receiving radiation therapy.

Acupressure for the Reduction of Anxiety in Patients Receiving Cancer-Directed Therapy
This clinicaI trial is being done to determine if acupressure is helpful to reduce anxiety related to chemotherapy, compared with "sham" (or placebo) acupressure in patients with cancer. Anxiety, experienced by many patients with cancer, can be related to chemotherapy and may contribute to other symptoms, such as nausea and poor quality of life. Some patients diagnosed with cancer express interest in non-medicine ways to manage symptoms. Acupressure is the application of non-invasive finger pressure along energy points throughout the body in order to relieve pain and induce a feeling of well-being. Previous research has shown that acupressure can help both adults and children with their anxiety in certain situations, such as after surgery. Patients can be taught how to do the acupressure on themselves, making this an intervention that can be done anywhere. Acupressure is well tolerated with minimal reports of adverse reactions. Undergoing acupressure may be effective in reducing anxiety in cancer patients receiving chemotherapy.

Temozolomide and Survivin Long Peptide Vaccine (SurVaxM) for the Treatment of Patients With Progressing Metastatic Neuroendocrine Carcinomas
This phase IIa trial compares the safety and effect of temozolomide combined with survivin long peptide vaccine (SurVaxM) to temozolomide alone in patients with neuroendocrine tumors (NET) that has spread from where it first started (primary site) to other places in the body (metastatic) and is growing, spreading or getting worse (progressing). Temozolomide is in a class of medications called alkylating agents. It works by damaging the cell's deoxyribonucleic acid and may kill tumor cells and slow down or stop tumor growth. Survivin, a protein, is expressed in 50% of patients that have neuroendocrine tumors and, is associated with poor outcomes. SVN53-67/M57-KLH peptide vaccine (SurVaxM) is a vaccine that has been shown to produce an immune system response against cancer cells that express a survivin and may block the growth of new tumor cells. Giving temozolomide with SurVaxM may kill more tumor cells in patients with progressing metastatic neuroendocrine tumors.

A Wearable Biosensor Patch for Non-Invasive Monitoring for Patients Undergoing Abdominal or Chest Surgery
This clinical trial tests the feasibility and safety of a wearable biosensor patch for non-invasive monitoring for patients undergoing abdominal or chest surgery. Wearable biosensor patches have been developed by researchers to provide a non-invasive way to monitor substances that are normally checked using blood tests. This may reduce the need for frequent blood draws. The patches use gentle electrical stimulation to produce sweat and tiny built-in sensors to measure substances such as glucose, creatinine, and markers of inflammation, as well as oxygen and carbon dioxide levels. The wearable biosensor patch may be a feasible and safe way to monitor patients undergoing abdominal or chest surgery.

Formulating Expert Consensus Guidelines in Cancer Care Using the Delphi Method
This study formulates consensus agreement on clinical key elements related to prostate cancer care that are critical for standardization and global reported using a robust Delphi technique, completely remote and electronic. The goal of this survey study is to have a panel of specialty-specific experts create a consensus agreement on a minimum set of key data elements for use in standardized reports. These recommendations would be used to develop standardized methods to report key data in electronic health records to better manage cancer patients at time of diagnosis, treatment, follow up, and into survivorship.

LN-145 or LN-145-S1 in Treating Patients With Relapsed or Refractory Ovarian Cancer, Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC), Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer, Osteosarcoma, or Other Bone and Soft Tissue Sarcomas
This phase II trial studies how well autologous tumor infiltrating lymphocytes LN-145 (LN-145) or LN-145-S1 works in treating patients with ovarian cancer, triple negative breast cancer (TNBC), anaplastic thyroid cancer, osteosarcoma, or other bone and soft tissue sarcomas that do not respond to treatment (refractory) or that has come back (relapsed). LN-145 is made by collecting and growing specialized white blood cells (called T-cells) that are collected from the patient's tumor. LN-145-S1 is made using a modified process that chooses a specific portion of the T-cells. The T cells may specifically recognize, target, and kill the tumor cells.

A Pilot Unrestricted Payment Program for Early-stage Cancer Patients: the PAYMENT Trial
This clinical trial studies whether an unrestricted cash payment program can be used to improve financial and clinical outcomes in early-stage cancer patients with financial concerns. A cancer diagnosis can have poor financial outcomes, and the cost of cancer treatment can lead to high medical debt and financial hardships for the patient and family. Financial hardship during cancer treatment is associated with adverse outcomes including poorer quality of life, lower treatment compliance, more aggressive use of hospital-based care, and worse survival. Newly diagnosed cancer patients with financial concerns may avoid treatment entirely so that they can continue to work and maintain income, provide for their families, or pay rent. An unrestricted cash payment program provides patients with a preloaded cash card once monthly. The patients can choose what to use the card to pay for and may include items like food, rent, or utilities. This provides a period of guaranteed income for the patients and may prevent them from falling into poverty and improve financial and clinical outcomes.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Multimodal Therapy in Treating Sleep Disturbance in Patients With Cancer
This randomized phase II trial studies how well cognitive behavioral therapy and multimodal therapy works in treating sleep disturbance in patients with cancer. Cognitive behavioral therapy may help reduce sleep disturbances, fatigue, and insomnia as well as improve the well-being and quality of life of patients with cancer when given together with methylphenidate hydrochloride, therapeutic melatonin, and light therapy.
