A Pilot and Feasibility Study of a Dietary Intervention With Low-protein Meals in Cancer Patients Receiving Immunotherapies
The main idea of this study is that a low protein diet may alter the environment surrounding the tumor, enhancing the body's immune response leading to greater anticancer effects of treatment. This study intends to use a low-protein diet as a tool to enhance the immune response generated by immune check point inhibitor treatments.

A Pilot, Feasibility Study of Intermittent Caloric Restriction Plus Plant-based Diet in Cancer Patients Receiving Chemotherapy
Caloric restriction may alter the response to chemotherapy induced stress response and enhance its antitumor effect. This study intends to use an intermitted caloric restriction protocol with alternate days before the chemotherapy administration to enhance the cytotoxic effect generated by standard treatment of cancer.

Effect of Intensive Nutrition Training, Education, and Support in Gestational Diabetes - The INTENSE-GDM TRIAL
The treatment of gestational diabetes (GDM) primarily revolves around consuming an optimal diet that does not cause blood glucose levels to become excessively high and provides an adequate supply of micro- and macronutrients without resulting in excessive weight gain during pregnancy. In some cases, it may become necessary to supplement with insulin during pregnancy. However, insulin treatment is associated with personal, health-related, and healthcare cost-related implications. The rationale for this study is the lack of knowledge regarding whether the extent of support and guidance from a dietitian during pregnancy has an impact on the treatment outcomes for both the mother and the child in cases of GDM. The overall objective is to investigate differences in clinical, cost-related, and patient-reported outcomes between women with GDM randomised to either intensive dietary therapy or standard dietary care (control). The primary endpoint is the effect of intensive dietary therapy on the likelihood of remaining treated with diet only vs. needing insulin therapy. The study design is a randomised controlled parallel group open-label effectiveness trial including 214 women with GDM.

Restorative and Supportive Meals at HomeCare
The pilot intervention study is designed to evaluate the feasibility of implementing a tailored medical nutrition therapy (MNT) meal-delivery for 25 elderly, low-income food insecure patients with end-stage kidney disease undergoing maintenance hemodialysis at dialysis centers. Following comprehensive baseline assessments, participants will first maintain their usual dietary patterns for a 4-week control period to establish baseline nutritional and clinical parameters. This will be followed by a 4-week intervention period during which participants will receive individually tailored MNT meals designed to meet their renal-specific nutritional requirements, including energy, protein, potassium, phosphate and sodium intake. Weekly monitoring during dialysis sessions will include assessment of adherence, dietary intake, and clinical tolerance, providing detailed insights into the feasibility, safety, and potential clinical impact of the tailored nutrition intervention in this vulnerable population.
