Research on the Impact of Gamification Movement on Children With Sensory Integration Disorders
This study aims to investigate the impact of gamified exercise intervention on the sensory integration ability and basic motor skills of children with sensory integration dysfunction. A randomized controlled trial design will be adopted, recruiting 48 children with sensory integration dysfunction and randomly assigning them to three groups: the gamified exercise group, the sensory integration training group, and the regular physical education curriculum group.

Sensory Mechanisms of Manual Dexterity Recovery After Stroke: a Prospective Cohort Study of Prediction and Cerebral Correlates
In the proposed research, we will assess motor and sensory functions of the hand using clinical tests and a tool designed to measure manual dexterity combined with vibrotactile stimulation. We will also evaluate the integrity of brain structure and function using MRI.

Effectiveness of Robot-Assisted Intervention and Sensory Integration Therapy in Enhancing Social-Emotional Skills in Children With Autism
This study is designed to evaluate and compare the impact of robot-assisted intervention using a smart robot (Kebbi Air) and traditional sensory integration therapy on improving social-emotional skills in children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or suspected ASD. The study will enroll children aged 4 to 6 years, who will be randomly assigned to one of two groups: the experimental group, which will participate in guided interactions with the smart robot, or the control group, which will receive sensory integration therapy tailored to enhance emotional and social functioning. The research aims to explore whether interactions with the robot, which are designed to simulate real-world social scenarios, can provide comparable or enhanced benefits compared to traditional sensory integration methods. Pre- and post-intervention assessments will be conducted over a 12-week period, using tools like the Achenbach System of Empirically Based Assessment (ASEBA) and the Sensory Processing Measure (SPM) to measure changes in emotional regulation, sensory processing abilities, and social engagement. The study hypothesizes that the robot-assisted intervention will offer a novel, engaging, and effective approach to supporting the developmental needs of children with ASD.

Sensory Optimization of the Hospital Environment
The long-term goal of this project is to improve the health and well-being of preterm infants and their parents. Although there is evidence to support positive multisensory interventions in the NICU, these interventions are often applied in an inconsistent manner, reducing their benefit. Through a rigorous and scientific process, we have developed a structured multisensory intervention program, titled Supporting and Enhancing NICU Sensory Experiences (SENSE), which includes specific doses and targeted timing of evidence-based interventions such as massage, auditory exposure, rocking, holding, and skin-to-skin care. The interventions are based on the infant's developmental stage and are adapted based on the infant's medical status and behavioral cues. The multisensory interventions are designed to be conducted during each day of NICU hospitalization by the parents, who are educated and supported to provide them. The proposed work aims to determine the effect of multisensory interventions on parent mental health, parent-child interaction, brain activity (amplitude integrated electroencephalography), and infant developmental outcomes through age 2 years, with specific attention to language outcome.
