NCT05956834
A Multi-Modal Remote Monitoring Platform for Frontotemporal Lobar Degeneration (FTLD) Syndromes
The primary objective of this study is to enroll an observational cohort of approximately 60 patients with PSP over the course of 24 months using a multicenter study design and to follow each of them for 12 months. The secondary objective of this study is to develop a robust solution for multi-modal remote monitoring of motor symptoms and function in PSP that can be applied to other Frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD) syndromes.

Effects of Cannabidiol on Stress and Nicotine Withdrawal
The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of doses of cannabidiol (CBD) during exposure to stress and nicotine withdrawal in nicotine users. The main objectives of the study include examining the effect CBD has on stress, tobacco dependence, tobacco withdrawal, and sex differences between these types of stress. Participants will be administered CBD and exposed to stress. Biological and subjective measures will be collected. Participants may be asked to stop use for 24 hours. Researchers will also investigate withdrawal effects between participants who have not smoked nicotine in 24 hours and those who have continued to smoke before each session.

Cannabidiol (CBD) and Stress Response: Psychobiological Mechanisms
The aim of this study is to determine the effects of regular cannabidiol (CBD) use on the psychobiological mechanisms of the stress response. This will be achieved by comparing acute stress responses of adults who either use or do not use CBD regularly. Correlates of CBD use, including tobacco use, will be collected.

Hippocampal Response to Acute Oral Doses of CBD During an fMRI Memory Task
Cannabidiol (CBD) is another cannabis plant derivative for which, like THC, there has been extensive research. Unlike THC however, CBD is non-intoxicating and non-psychedelic. CBD has antipsychotic effects. Logically, if CBD opposes THC effects, it may be a potential antipsychotic treatment. The purpose of this pilot research is to show target engagement of the hippocampus with the study drug (CBD versus placebo) in patients who have been diagnosed with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, or bipolar disorder with psychosis compared to healthy controls.
